Whats the best way to Mount a Camera on a RT

I have a WASP Gideon camera and want to mount it on my 2015 RT Limited. Looking for your ideas. This camera will use GoPro mounts as well as Wasp mounts. My first thought was to mount it inside the windshield but not sure if the windshield will degrade the video quality. Any help appreciated.

I've got JT's mount...

Other than having to be careful about keeping the windshield clean; I've had no complaints!

I used to mount my Drift HD in the same place. The windshield doesn't degrade the picture unless it get's dirty or has water droplets on it.
One thing, at least for me, I found that the windshield support was in all the frames.
Since then I've gotten the Ghost S which has a smaller footprint. I mount it on my helmet. Best thing I ever did.

As always, my free advice comes with a double your money back guarantee.

I've tried to find a way to mount the camera to my helmet; there's just too many weirdly-curved surfaces. :banghead:
And since my head is usually on a swivel while I'm tottering down the road; I figured that it might make any viewers get sick to their stomachs!

heres my IDEA

Dont laugh it works and was cheap..Just drill a hole in my Pawn shop($20) helmet and find correct thread bolt and BAM GoPro the cheap way;)

GREAT video!
But I've actually got a couple of complex curves going on their with my helmet. I am a bit doubtful of being able to get the adhesive to get a good enough grip...

GoPro, etc makes curved sticky mounts for complex curves.

I used to have mine mounted behind the windshield but with the bugs here in the northwest, had a lot of issues with clarity. Now I just use one of the gopro flat stickies on the side mirror and get very clear videos. Also I can keep the camera plugged into power so no battery issues. Usually get around 4-5 hours on a video with a 32 gig card. My wife can't always ride, so she can enjoy the scenery this way. I've found that if you leave the camera on when stopped and away from the bike, it can be funny some of the shots you can get and sometimes comments from pedestrians.

Action Camera Mount

I explored multiple camera mounting positions and ended up removing the lower screw in the wind deflector. I used a couple pcs of stainless steel pipe, 4" in length, one was 3/8" and the other was 1/8" and a 3/8" stainless cap, then a piece of all thread 6mm & nut. So, I cut all thread to desired length, put nut on all thread then ran all thread w/nut) thought camera mount then into a stainless cap(drilled 6mm hole) which attached to the 3/8" pipe. Inside the 3/8" pipe I inserted the 1/8"x4" long stainless steel pipe. This may have been overkill but, I felt this would help with stability. Works Great. When I put "Pearl" up this winter, I'm planning on dipping pipe in black Plastic dip. Just a option for :f_spider:

JT's mount

I also use JT's mount for my GoPro, really good spot & mount for video and photos. Easy to run power to the camera for long videos.
