• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where are the Rykers?

I'm not surprised.
I was hoping to find them at the NY Motorcycle show.
BRP didn't even have a presence at the show.

Houston,Texas Mancuso Power Sports 4 dealers got there's 2 each per Dealer. Saturday 12.08.2018

I know Central Florida Powersports has a demo Ryker, 600cc version. And BRP/Can Am is sending a few “Display” Rykers around the country. I believe certain dealers will have them for 1-2 weeks, then onto the next dealer. I know there’s one in the North East, just waiting on Dealer to contact me regarding specific dates it will be on display. But it’s happening very soon, I’ll post pics. The more I look into the Ryker the more I love it. I think this will be a home run for Can Am.

I agree 100%, tons of people were shocked they weren’t at the NYC Show. Even if they just had a small display w Ryker and maybe one Spyder. That would of been nice. But I’ve heard Can Am had great success w sponsoring the basic 3W class in 2018, it was discounted to $75, then was $125. They are going to continue that promotion through 2019 (for $99) so they are using their marketing budget on that program instead of doing many shows. Haven’t confirmed that but it’s just what I’ve heard.

There out there....

Looks like they are arriving in the warmer areas from posts here. Seems logical but then we all know about logic. Most don't want to start paying for something they don't have and many are impulse buyers that if they test them they will ryde them home...keep watching as member let us know where.....

Care to share your ideas / opinions on why this will be a homerun?

Dont know about home run but should help many that couldn't reasonably afford a spyder before. & anyone looking for a budget friendly commuter other than a scooter, the rally just an added plus option.

I think it will be a home run for the following reasons:
Price. Customization. Ease of use. Safety. Options.

Fun factor- every video I watch of people riding, they are laughing (or clearly happy) and surprised at how the Ryker handles. Just looks like a fun machine to take for a ride.

New type of machine - it’s kind of like a Spyder, but I feel it’s in a class of its own. Low to the ground, able to fishtail, no worry about gravel/sand (no belt), easy to adjust handlebar/foot pegs on the fly. Larger tires, ride on & off road etc.
Almost every Spyder I see is different, we all add our own personalities to our Spyders. And we love doing that. The Ryker takes it to the next level by being able to change the entire look in minutes by changing out panels.

I feel it will attract some younger people who want to ride, may not know how to ride a motorcycle (u can buy for $8k-$10k) but can’t afford a $20k-$30k Spyder. So they can buy a $8k-$10k Ryker, get on and go. And the 3W is just safer than 2.

I’m sure Ryker will evolve over the next few years but I feel Can Am will sell many in 2019. I have a few members of my RC who took the 3W course in August, but after seeing the Ryker they decided not to buy a 2017 F3 but to wait and buy Ryker. We all know if we buy a 2019 Spyder in the beginning of the year we’d pay top dollar vs waiting till the Can Am rebates kick in during the summer. But for the Ryker starting price of $8,500, I wouldn’t wait for rebates, I’d buy ASAP.

Personally, I’d never give up my RT to buy a Ryker but for $11k ... I may just buy a Rally to have a fun little machine I can ride when I wanna go for a solo ride. I just don’t see the Ryker being a flop. IMO.

I stopped at the dealer this weekend to buy snowmobile accessories. Place was packed! Asked about the Rykers he had previously said were coming in December. He showed me the latest update from BRP. The original plan was to have 1 shipment (2 Rykers) to all dealers before Christmas. That has now changed. New plan is now to have one shipment to all dealers by the end of January 2019. Looks like they are behind schedule.

Can Am Kenny was riding one at Central Florida Powersports on Saturday. Had pictures on facebook of one to be delivered with the rear seat, windshield and saddle bag on it.

I still think this needs dual saddlebags. Looks lop-sided with only one.

I know, I know....aftermarket will solve that problem.
