Where did you find LED lights to fit here on a 2014 Spyder RT??

I'm doing LED conversion on my 2014 headlights and fog lights (going with some low profile fan style 9005 and H11). While I'm in there, I've seen in some photos that there is another light socket on some models. Mine is an RT but not limited. This may be the issue.

If anyone has these, can you tell me where you found a light to fit here? I was thinking bright yellow LED might be cool and legal.

Thanks.

I looked for an LED also ...... decided it wasn't worth the effort ..... BRP does have an OEM re-placement for big bucks ..... good luck ...Mike

To answer my own question,
1) The connector is back there.
2) The chrome plastic piece is held in with 2 screws, after you remove another retainer with 3 screws. But it you remove it, you still need a plastic module to hold the bulb, so it is not plug and play.
3) Dealer could not confirm the part, because there is no image on the BRP website. From what I can tell, it would be $125 a side to buy the part.
4) LEDs were somewhat difficult, but the fog lights are insane. The right is easy, but the left has a cold air intake right in the way. Youtube can show you, but doesn't show how nasty the left side is. You can't see it even after removing most of the panels. Getting the lamp cover off required me to pull quite hard on the intake, but getting it back on was much worse. I played around for 2 hours, and finally asked my wife to watch from the top and verbally help me guide the cover lower pin back in place, and I was done with the cover in 5 minutes. So don't attempt with one person, you must have another to signal the orientation to you. You simply can't feel what you're doing back there, and you can't see either. But if your head was detached by 2 feet, you'd be fine :-)
5) Some dealers have websites that connect to can-am, mine does. Still, it wasn't clear which PN I needed. Might be a handy thing for a sticky... https://docksidemarine.net/Shopping/OEM-Parts-Finder
6) LEDs are totally worth the trouble. As long as they last.
7) Grease on the clips and pins really helps get the mirrors back on.

LaMont had good LEDS I bought a few years ago for my 14 RT that're still working well. Lamonstergarage. But the little ones are just 'valence lights' for parking I believe. The head and fog lights were a pain to install. I recommend the Magic Mirror doo hickeys for removing/replacing mirrors.

I swapped mine over for Lamonster headlights, fogs, and front markers on the fenders, wasn't really that bad! Well worth it in my book!

Yeah, I think you're on to something here. I built my own Magic Mirrors (2 on each side). But I can't build LEDs. Like you said they are a PIA to install but the next time I lose a headlight I'm getting 2 dozen donuts and a full pot of coffee and replacing every light with LEDs. Ahh, maybe I'd better go with just a couple of donuts.

I hope this is not too far off the topic. Newbee question: 2019 RTL, looks as little round lights within fog light housing are not doing anything, meaning they are not on when fog lights are activated. Is this normal? Thanks.

Those little round lights in the main headlights are optional 'Accent' lights, and not there on all RT models. The similar looking little 'lights' in the fog lights are completely fake and I don't believe anyone has really been successful in getting lights, LED or otherwise, into that spot in the fog light assembly - the big fog lights, sure; those little 'lights', nup! As for those little 'Accent Lights' in the main headlight housing, generally, if you want them, you would've needed to specify them when the Spyder was being made! If that didn't happen, then you'll either need to source something after-market or you'll need to find and buy the OEM fitting that Nazdackster mentioned...

BUT, even if you can find a set of those Accent Lights or an A/mkt equivalent and buy them, while you might find that the wiring is there to plug them into (it is there on most 2010-2018 RT's) it's pretty rare for any Spyder that came from the factory without the Accent Lights to actually have the holes that the light itself shines out of! Instead, most RT's up until 2018 that came without them had a shiny plastic 'fake light' built/moulded into the main light assembly that looked like a lens, but wasn't; so you would either need to buy a complete set of headlights that already has appropriate holes and fitting; or you'd need source the light kits, and cut that shiny plastic fake/lens cover out, something that's easier said than done (do you really need to ask me how I know that?!)

Just Sayin' ;)

If you need more lighting I'd suggest going the easier route. LED strips on a skid plate, and aftermarket fog/spotlights on or near the "A" arms. As Peter mentioned, go the easier route. Something I've noticed lately that catches my attention is these guys running bright yellow aftermarket lights. If you mount four of them (going forward) which I've seen, even that devil will see you coming.

I mounted fog/driving lights to the A arms. I have an F3L and had OEM fog lights. I also noticed more bikes around lately have amber lights.

I bought some amber transparent vinyl off amazon and used a heat gun (hair dryer) to get it to form around the curved lens of the OEM fog light. I probably could cover the headlight completely a lot easier as it has less curvature. The add-on lights came off amazon complete with harness, switch, and relay.

I really appreciate a full explanation, thank you. The little round lights in headlights are working in mine; it's just the ones in fog lights housing are not. Oh, well.
