• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where is the reverse actuator and can it be replaced at home?

If is on an RT SM5, you look right next to the oil filter and you'll see a cable attached to a soleniod, that is it. There was a recall on a few models. Mine was not one of the serial number's recorded, but it was out and covered under warranty. IMHO, you should be able repair it yourself.

My trailer module blew the fuse and the reverse actuator. My Best warranty covered replacement of the trailer wiring on the Spyder and on the trailer itself along with the reverse actuator. So my response to the OP would be the reverse actuator is located at your dealer!

Reverse actuator 2010 RT

Just wondering what symptoms for a bad actuator? My Rt SM will go into reverse every time but once in awhile my screen will not revert back to temp gauge, it stays in reverse mode. It dies come back after awhile and it only does it on occasion.

Can anyone tell me where the reverse actuator is located and can this be replaced at home?
My local mechanic just fixed mine and from what he told me, it was a simple tasks. I had ordered a new one but he was able to fix the one I had. On mine, the housing plate is busted, so I am ordering a new one. But in the meantime, he got me up and running for less than $300.
