• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i'll take mine out for a winter ride this weekend. It'll be above zero and I have the need for speed.. 14 km's of snow packed backroad to get out to the highway, Can't wait to see how it handles.

I washed mine today too!
First warmish day -44f- in a month or so.

I didn't do the best job of cleaning but did get a lot of gunk off it, just couldn't get the hose out from under the snowbank to rinse it.

Honda has a spray cleaner that works awesome. Spray on, wipe off, then buff. Have plenty of rags, but results are worth it. Waxes at the same time. It cleaned up under the seat great, as well as the wheels and suspension at all three corners, but then I don't have to deal with salt.

I'm not home right now, but I'll find the name and try to post soonest. Business trip coming up next week and don't know how much time I'll have to post.

You can get the Honda spray cleaner as "Original Bike Spirits". Lots of places carry it online. Maybe even some local stores have it too.

Great stuff. It's about all I use.

Original Bike Spirits is a great product. We use it on our Spyders.

Tatt2r: Your Spyder is looking great!

Just wondering, did you put any kind of special coating on the underside of the Spyder to protect it?

Glad the salt is not eating away at it.
Cheers.

And no just soap and water and I have a case of Honda wax but still need to hose off mud

Most of the car washes around here are the automated -car only- kind of setup, so that's out unless I get better rain gear or go barebutt through the wash and its kinda cold for the latter.

I have 2 cans of the spray wax stuff- the Honda stuff and S-100- which froze int he garage by the way while the Honda stuff stayed ready to go. These are fine products for use on mostly clean vehicles but no good when you have a thin coat of grit like we get around here. It's gotta be washed first.

I am on the lookout for an old style do it yourself car wash with a bay and spray hose. There must be one in Lowell somewhere.
