• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I thinking of getting an XM portable (think pocket) radio, does anybody have any experience with them?

thanks,
john

I tried one...reception very poor..had to get different headphones with built antenna then reception improved but still marginal compared to my other XM reception. My son, who is a farmer, who works outside...found same experience...he got the headphones that look like "gun" muffs and he says his reception is fine...but not until he got that particular pair of headphones...they are "big an bulky"...no way to use either of the above mentioned headsets with helmet....

I've been toying with the idea of getting one of those XM Snap units. Does anybody know if they've got a plug for an external antenna?

I have the XM app for my iPhone and love it. There are some stations that are not carried due to copyright issues, but I love it.

I ditched my receivers and now use my iPhone. It is not without issues but better than trying to find a good signal.

But for those of us who have Dumb Phones... :dontknow: (No cell service!:gaah:)
Are there any auxiliary antennas available for the receivers, and is there a place to plug it in on them?

Thanks for the replys, and the offer, I've been looking into this for a while, i've got XM in both of my cages, and am looking for a way to downsize to just one I can carry with me.
