• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I know many of us have traveled a lot this summer already---I just wish I had a much earlier heads-up on this event in Magog, Quebec: Can-Am Spyder fest 2009

We've been getting by crossing the border (when Barbara doesn't argue with border police) with just license and birth certificate, and still haven't gotten our passports (necessary as of June 1, I believe) so we won't be able to make it (legally).

The lovely bride had the idea that we should have the line of Spyders stretch across the border so we could participate. I'm sure that would set a record for longest INTERNATIONAL parade of motorcycles!

It's a short  rYde from Tampa Bay area (1,550 miles). Anybody interested?

Hope they have better luck than I did. We had the record, I sent in all the required info and never heard back from them after several attempts. It was fun seeing over 500 VTX's in one place. :doorag:

Curiously enough, I planned my vacation at the same time but had not heard about this until last week. I will be arriving in Quebec on August 1st, and may be able to go down there on the 2nd.

Let me know if some of you are going!

The Guinness World Record try is on Saturday August 1st. Just mentioning that in case you missed it in the first post and think arriving on the 2nd will get you in on it. For sure some people will hang around and do the Poker Run on Sunday the 2nd.

I saw this only last week too. Still don't know if it's possible or not. Passport not the issue in my case.
