What I like about HF stuff is it's cheap enough to experiment with. Hate to end a sentence with a preposition... hope you will forgive me...
Just a reminder, there are no English scholars on this forum. :roflblack:

Dave I will need the 10 inch size, what brand did you use, annnnnnnnnnnnnnd how thick is it ...... I want as THIN a disc as possible .....Thanks .... Mike
That's it! This is what our ACE discs look like. Is this what you guys are calling fiber?
When you orig. said it had RIBS , you were talking about the WEAVE Lines, I thought you meant RIBS - like what corrugated roofing looks like. ...the " wavy " looking stuff ............... Mike :thumbup:That's it! This is what our ACE discs look like. Is this what you guys are calling fiber?
What kind of blade did you use? Metal or fibre? If metal, what is tooth count?I have used a circular saw blade several times to cut 3/16" sheet. Made cuts up to six feet long with no issues. The blade I use is from Harbor Freight, yes that's right, not a typo. Cost of the blade is about $15.
.. If you decide to use a fibre disc ..... google " Walter " brand , they have some in 10" size that are very, very thin, I'm considering one ...... Mike :thumbup:What kind of blade did you use? Metal or fibre? If metal, what is tooth count?

I just have my friend, John, come over and help. Quick, cheap, and no upkeep.

That sounds good. Fiber disc? Is this it? https://www.amazon.com/Norton-Cutof...r=8-4&keywords=norton+metal+cut-off+wheel+10"Pete, I did find a 10" disc that is only .06 thick ....that is 1.5 mm which is extremely thin ....it is made by NORTON ( brand ) .... I can get it locally for $21.00 and unless I can find a better price I think I'm getting this one ............ Mike
Thanks Pete, the one from Amazon is 0.1 thick which is 2.6mm , so I 'm sure it's a different model..... I tried cross-referencing with Norton Md#'s but couldn't ......... The thicker the blade the longer it takes to cut any metal .... Mike :thumbup:That sounds good. Fiber disc?
