There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Here is the one I use. Dewalt 10x7/64x5/8 blade. Of course you may need a bigger arbor size. You can get them in a 14" also.

What kind of blade did you use? Metal or fibre? If metal, what is tooth count?

No, sorry 'bout that. I was referring to the ribs in the steel sheets typically used for barn siding. It's flat for a few inches in between square, inch-tall ribs, and then there's a teeny rib centered between the big ribs. I know this wouldn't really affect the wear-down speed of the fiber (now I know I'm referring to it correctly!) blade. I still think it's our mega moles snacking on our blades behind our backs.
I dunno ... he looks like he'd require quite a lot of upkeep to me. Groceries, gym membership fees, dentist appointments, anger management classes .....

Pete, I did find a 10" disc that is only .06 thick ....that is 1.5 mm which is extremely thin ....it is made by NORTON ( brand ) .... I can get it locally for $21.00 and unless I can find a better price I think I'm getting this one ............ Mike :thumbup:

Thanks Pete, the one from Amazon is 0.1 thick which is 2.6mm , so I 'm sure it's a different model..... I tried cross-referencing with Norton Md#'s but couldn't ......... The thicker the blade the longer it takes to cut any metal .... Mike :thumbup:

cutting disc / blade
Both are almost there ..... #1.has a 3500rpm limit ( my chop saw is 4650rpm's ....... #2 .... I have looked at, but it is more expensive because it will go 6100rpm's..... So far my Grainger store is $20.70 and no shipping ........... Thanks for looking .....Mike :thumbup:

This tool is for ...Sheet metal only ..... 2mm thick max ................ I need something for at least 3/16 in., ......I found some product testing video's on U-tube that really answered my questions even gave answers to questions I haven't thought of .......... If I had the need using cost per use ....I would invest in a Plasma cutter .............Thanks for your reply ...... Mike :thumbup:
