• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Clock Setting screen no longer works, any help appreciated!?

I'm still looking for the answer. I have been copied instructions from the owners manual and told what page to find it on.

I can read and follow instructions outlined in my manual. Ver. 3.1 followed the manual to a tee. Using the manual I could set the Hr, Min, Year, Month, and Day. A few days later my clock was +/- a minute or two. My manual is a pdf and paper copy, so it doesn't update with the software. :confused:Maybe there is a new download for the manual with V4.1? I haven't looked.

Update 4.1 screenshot is below. The only adjustment that I see for the Date & Time is the time zone. Every time I have checked the time it was dead on with my phone's time. I'll check it in a few days, and if still accurate, I'll move on and assume that it is being updated by some time wizard.;)
BTW, I tapped my screen on the time reading, thinking maybe there is a submenu. There wasn't.

I don't have an F3, but I was looking at the F3 Operator's Guide.
I just checked the Operator's Guide for my Spyder RT and it has the same information (on a different page number).

I'm going to head out to the garage and see if it works on my 2024 Spyder RT.

I apologize, as I trusted that the Operators Guide was correct.

Shocker: it isn't!

The Data & Time on my 2024 Spyder RT looks exactly the same as your screen shot, other than my time is different.

I did check, and the time on my Spyder is exactly the same as the time on my iPhone.

========

I found a Youtube video from user RykerRydes (https://www.youtube.com/@RykerRydes) where she shows you how to change the time on a 2024+ Spyder F3 or RT. In her video when she gets into the Date & Time there's a 3rd option of "Set time", along with Time Format and Set Date.

It was filmed back in March, so I posted a comment asking if she had updated her bike to 4.1 and if the Set time option was still there.

HaHaHa!
Yes, back in March we were on V3.1, as V4.1 just came out a few days ago.
Racoon, I appreciate all of your input, even if I didn't come across that way. As I said, I'm moving on since all appears to be working as designed. I'll let you know if I come across something new (I'm sure I will).

It's 6:15 am here, which means I really should still be asleep.
Don't judge. I'm retired. ;)

But I woke up suddenly with a new idea, and after a short time with Google I'm going to try something.

But first, COFFEE!!!

I've proved it!
You should never make an important decision before completing your morning routine!
Whether that involves caffeine, morning exercise, letting the dog out, feeding the cat, or whatever it is you do.
You need to finish the routine while your brain fully wakes up!

Oh. As for the Spyder's clock, my idea fell flat.

My Apple iPhone automatically updates it's time based on it's location, and as you change time zones it updates the time (and potentially date, although I'm not able to test the date change at the moment.) I'm guessing that Android has the same capabilities.

But the time zone updates can be overridden.
In the iPhone's Date & Time setting there is a "Set Automatically" option, which by default is on.
You can manually turn it off.
So I did and then set the clock an hour forward, so my iPhone though it was 7:35 am and not 6:35 am.

And then turned the Spyder on, rolled the throttle, checked the time to confirm it said 6:35 am and plugged in my iPhone.
My iPhone beeped, which is the normal confirmation when you connect it to a power source.
And I waited.
And nothing happened.
The Spyder's clock was still at 6:35 am.
I waited some more.
No change, the Spyder's clock was still the 6 am hour.

So the Spyder does not get it's time from the iPhone.
Theory trashed. :(

Did you figure it out?? It is that screen that I am talking about, when my time was off after the update I kept pushing the + sign and eatched the clock setting till it read the correct time! Good luck.
