Got back late Friday night from the Maggie Valley, NC event. Had a Great Time meeting everyone. A bit of a last minute decision to come as a vendor/installer. But I think it worked out well enough for everyone.
Weather was nice except for Tuesday afternoon. We did get some rain. Daniel was laying in a river for the last sway bar install.
Not sure what he was thinking. But the caterer parked right in front of our trailer making it impossible to hook up. He should have known we would be wanting to head out soon. I pulled up hoping they would come move their truck. When no one showed, Daniel went looking for the owner, but couldn't find him. Instead, we went to dinner with Reggie, Pete, and his wife, hoping the truck would be gone when we returned.
It was.

Turned out there was a good sized wreck on 40 West. We'd have been sitting in traffic for a few hours had we left when we intended. Thank the Lord that we were delayed. We had a much better and more productive time as it turned out.
There was on guy on a later model Red RT. It had a Flag & Eagle picture on the hood of the frunk and the Kenda front tires were on backwards. I first spotted him riding out with a group but was not able to catch him. I saw his Spyder later waiting at the front end alignment tent. The owner was nowhere around so I left word with the alignment crew to let him know. I hope they did.
Directional tires are OK to run backwards in dry conditions. But they can be dangerous in wet. Mounted properly they will shed water extremely well. But mounted backwards, they actually tend to collect and direct water under the tire. Exactly where you don't want it.
