• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hello all! I recently took these off my bike and decided to leave them off. They work great and are in great shape! I recently made feet rests on my front wheel fenders which negates the need for these pegs. Brand new, you can purchase them here:

https://www.canamspyderaccessories.com/rt-2010-2019-the-floating-pegs-black-with-black-edge - for $200.00.

I'm not trying to make a mint - asking $100.00 shipped to anywhere in the continental USA. Sorry Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, PR, etc. I'm just not that savvy a mailer!

These came off my 2011 Spyder RT. The installation is simple and you can find them in the above link.

TY!

Housekeeping:

Please make sure that you read and follow the directions in the READ FIRST! Sticky (especially the comments/warnings re new members making sales, & all the following posts in that thread) that's found at the top of this sub-forum index page and linked below:

paying particular heed to:
  • the need for regular posts from you, adding to the thread (& not just edits of the first post!) in order to keep the Ad alive;
  • if you add any pics (and you really should, if you want to sell!), the need to insert no more than 6 images per post as thumbnails iaw the 'Please upload, attach, and insert any pics/images as Thumbnails' Sticky if you want everybody to be able to view them/your Ad, leaving at least a space or three between each image - having at least one pic in your opening post of the Ad/thread will mean that your Ad will have the first pic shown in your Ad's 1st post appear on the index page - which helps get viewers to look at what you've got/on offer; and posting an extra pic or two in new posts added to the Ad/thread regularly over the coming weeks will satisfy the first point above ;);
  • do not discuss prices, payment, payment methods, or negotiate at all on the public pages, use the Forum's DM facility to exchange contact details &/or conduct any/all negotiations; and
  • the need to properly finalise the Ad by marking it Sold once you've finished with it, even if you haven't actually 'sold' anything, don't want to sell any more, or just don't need the Ad any longer! ;)
Good Luck with your sale. (y)

Just curious about your fender foot rests. Do you have any pictures?
I have been trying to find a better solution for my Spyder.
Thanks for your time. (y)

In my original post I mentioned not needing the highway pegs because I had placed foot rest on the wheel fenders... I can send photos but I'm not done with the project! That said, I'm exactly 5'11 and have a 30in inseam. On my 2011 RT my legs can 'rest' on the wheel fenders if I use my tippy toes... But I love that position and feel because I get a 'laid back' body position with my back rest taking most my weight.

To achieve a long comfortable ride this way I simply took two hockey pucks (yes, ice hockey) and I adhered them to where my tippy toes would go. this created enough of a riser for my feet to rest comfortably flat. The Hockey Puck fix is only temporary but it works! My OCD won't allow it to remain like this because the pucks do look 'oddball!' So I am going to make a custom riser and either bolt it thru the fender or use industrial double sided tape. B/C I intend to run this bike until it dies... a bolt is most likely the way I'll go.

Last fun fact... leaning back, cruise control on, and my feet on the hockey pucks... I can steer on flat/straight roads for miles without touching the handlebars... My slight inputs by my feet can redirect the bike. I get a ton of 'you ain't safe!' riding like that - which is just fine with me! :)
