• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just did a Software Update on my new 2026 S2S!

I just got my 2026 Spyder Sea to Sky.

After a few days riding I parked it up in the garage and connected it to my home Wi-Fi.

Despite being new it told me there was a software update available when I checked.

So, with the ignition on and the engine off I did as follows.

So I updated the software. It takes about 10 minutes to download and about 10 minutes to install. It requires you to confirm installation after it’s downloaded.

Whilst installing, there are several times when the screen goes blank for a while, but you just have to patient. It will come back on and indicate progress, so don’t turn it off assuming there’s an error or it’s finished.

The engine should not be started until the whole process completes.

I think it just updated the console and audio software. It seems to retain your settings though.

I had an update on my 2025 F3T about a week ago, that's how it
did the update on mine also

So the dealer didn’t update it? Or is it a new version?

(ours are still sleeping)
It was brand new and it was assembled out of the crate a week ago. I picked it up the day it was finally assembled.

So I presume the software was released between the time the unit was being built and the day I received delivery.

I’m a bit OCD in checking everything with software that has an “update software” button, so I connected it to my house Wi-Fi network and checked if I had the latest. It appeared not to be.

I shall check everything I guess monthly now to see how often updates are pushed.

I assume as mine is a 2026 Sea to Sky, the update might well apply to every model with the new display such as 2024 RT LTD’s onwards.

I just checked for updates and 4.1 is still the latest version (at least for my '24 RTL). You would think that a new 2026 would come from the factory with the latest version, but there may be sub-elements of that version that may only apply to recent manufactures that need an update. How they would separate that notification from the rest of us is a mystery to me. And, that update may not have anything to do with Ver 4.1. It could be something else altogether affecting only the most recent or certain models based on VIN or manufacture date.

I just went out and checked my software level and it says it is V4.1.0.

I didn't look at any version numbers as it was updating as each individual thing it said it was updating had a different version number in small digits at the bottom left of the screen.

I assume therefore it was built with an earlier version, if that is what it's reporting and that number reflects the update.

I'll have to look somewhere to see if I can see the actual build date as being a 2026 model I suspect it was built anytime since last Fall's switch over from Jet Ski to Spyder production.

I picked up my 2026 S2S last Saturday. Dealership received it that Wednesday prior. I had no updates. My current version is 4.1.0. I just checked and there are no updates. I'm assuming that dealership loaded them during prep.

I checked my 2024 Spyder RT this afternoon and it told me there were no new updates and it was at version 4.1.0.
