• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Check transmission code

I have the Spyder RS SE5 and I and after riding for a bit last night I started getting a "Check Transmission" code on the dash, and it se ems to be shifting normally . I called the local Power sports dealer and they told me they couldn't get my bike in for 5 days. I asked for a service manager to call me, because the person I was speaking to could not answer my questions. Has anyone had this problem and should I have it towed or would it be safe to drive it to the dealer? I am worried about the transmission possibly locking up.

I've had the same code a couple of times. Once my oil was low and once I filled the oil it was fine. The second time I turned my Spyder ignition switch on and off three times and it's never come back.

Check the oil level, By the book [manual] if it's a little low sometimes the check trans warning will pop up.

Clutch

I have 09 RS , bought brand new, year later felt that clutch is slipping on fifth gear when applying throtle, codes came on right after, got 2011 spec clutch replaced under warranty no questions asked so its known problem, or was .
maybe little low on oil is the reason after all.

I had the problem recently with my '09 GS SE5 and after checking oil and not being lucky with that I noticed it sometimes would not shift on first touch of the button. I trailered it to the dealer and it turned out to be a bad paddle shift switch. Replaced and no further problem. Since the dealer was a 40 mile drive I did not want to risk limp mode thus the decision to trailer but it probably would have been ok.
