• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm home !!!!!!!

Congratulations on your new ryde and glad the trip home was safe and uneventful. I also went from an RS to an RT. Never looked back, no regrets and totally love my RT.
My GF is also considerably younger than I and she loves the RT. It is so much more comfortable for her, especially on long rydes. I firmly believe in most ways, age is just a number.

:congrats:on making the decision based on what you wanted. Enjoy your new RT !!!

I'm still climbing my way up to the 50 mark.....(I'm 46)... but I like to think I'm still in my 30's... I act like I am 12 most the time.......

To be honest, I was a bit concerned what my GF would think of it... I don't need any more reminders that I'm considerably older than she is....;)

But in the end.. I decided to buy what I liked and to heII with what anyone thinks about it. (and after she saw the pics after I made my choice... she likes it too.... whew!).

I'm really happy with my choice.... can't get over how smooth a ride it is!!!

When I rolled around on an RT for an afternoon during the wait for my RS to get serviced, Sonja rode with me. She enjoyed the RT more than the RS from a rider perspective. So I think your GF will be just fine. But we are in the reverse situation, she is your age and I am your GFs age ;)

Congrats Dan!!! And don't let them "Old-going-on-Older-aged crisis" people get to you (I know they are not)... I'm 10 years younger than you and I love my RT! I like my wife's RS too, but after a few hours on it, the RT feels like a reclinier on wheels.

And I was looking at trade up options... but after you said Sept 13... I'm waiting now!

Now that is a nice sweet ride...good choice....and the fun continues. To tell the truth, my GF had only seen the TV ads and she thought it "interesting".
For myself it was a case of "I'm gettin' one"....so I did...a silver and black RS....luv it. GF likes it but gets scared through twisties so it is solo for me.

Aren't we lucky to have soooooo much fun....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks good on you! Fate does funny things sometimes...but usually for the best. That's the optimist in me speaking, I guess. Enjoy the Ryde! It's gonna suit your long distance habits. Don't let Arntufun know, but the RT is the secret to not growing old too quickly. It is so easy on your bones and your caboose that you stay young much longer...LOL.
