• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Shifting was a bit sluggish, but the RT ran fine up to third. Tried for fourth and it was non-existant. Found fifth. Down-shifting at stop wasn't happening either but seemed to respond to paddle shifter down.

Short story, its in the shop.

Sorry to hear. My air suspension has stopped again. Probably putting in shop today. Taking it to Lville.

Sounds like your Gear Position Sensor
:agree:

Has anybody been keeping serious track of the more "common" parts failures on these bikes?
I know that throttle bodies have always been a lot of fun
The gear positon sensor crops up kind of often
What else give us fits? :gaah:

Don't know how you can keep accurate count some times there are multiple post's from the same person on a problem. And the dealers [S.O.P.] ''Most'' of the time will tell you ''Your the first one with this problem''
When my main shaft went south, I was told i was the first, Mean while there was another Spyder setting in their shop with the same problem.....

That statement is common among dealers and is taught in dealer school. It's also taught in warranty rep school too.

Yep, Whenever a service person, Whether it's on a refrigerator, car or a bike etc, Says this is the first time i've seen something like this,..... I tell them to right it down so' then when the next person comes in with the same problem you can say, Yep, we-have seen that before and can fix it. But i would never hold my breath that they'll do it......

Just wondering..!!

how many gear shift indicators going bad had the lower plates removed for the heating problems..?? For that matter how many of "not going into reverse" problem also had those plates removed..?? :dontknow:
