• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now that the 2014's have been announced

From one..!!

who rode the RT...the eco is really not significant..the range of 250+ is more like 220. Smooth similar maybe better power much better of course and handling changes according to the power and lower rpm torques. Test ryding will be your only way of knowing. They are on the way to the dealers now so you can soon. I take others opinions with a grain of salt and trust my experience...you will have to see..!!

Thanks Gene!
Early reports seem to show that they checked off almost all of the "want list" items... :2thumbs:
i'll be talking to my dealer...
You said they they're already on the way???
They must have really moved the timelines around...

Pass

New motor, new trans (a fire recall on the '13, after 6 yrs of production??) - and a price above a Mini convertible…. Mine is dialed in for me, works just fine, and I can carry an extra gallon of go juice in the saddle bag…. :coffee:

Thanks Gene!

since they quit manufacturing Sea Doo boats, maybe they converted some of the facilities over to the Spyder.:dontknow:

Did they make the turn signal button fool proof? Or is it the same carry over from before when it might work on some but not on others?

How about front shocks...adjustable?

No... The turnsignal button wil NEVER be foolproof; there will always have to be a fool behind the bars laying a thumb to it! :D :joke:

I don't think the 220 (even if 250+) is that great since unless everyone in the group is on a 2014 RT we will still be stopping every 125 miles anyway. Of course if riding solo it would be nice. I really do not see anything that will make me jump onto a 2014 right now, as I just got my 2012 in October 2012. That and the issues with the 2013's gives me more reasons to wait as at these prices I can't afford to be a test dummy. I am now glad I did not go to Chandler, AZ.

Thanks Gene!

Bob I was told that they will start manufacturing several hundred which they will then run through quality control and none will be shipped until sometime in November. I have had several conversations with BRP customer service on this topic so I tend to believe the guy I talked to.

Thanks for this info!
I can be patient; and I can even give up a couple of Months worth of riding for it! :2thumbs:
I think...
Leaving in an hour and a half to deliver Fawkes; and it'll be a tearful goodbye! nojoke

Will they have your bike back in time for Spyderquest?

Who knows

http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/731/1...-Can-Am-Spyder-RT-Gets-New-Inline-Triple.aspx The author of this article was pretty positive on his report. But then most are. Only time will tell. While I read some good facts it still does not answer the questions that 5 or 8 hours of poking and probing will come up with. Being a first year out of the box is almost enough to make me cool my heels. Since the 2013 was a first year out of the box item also. Like another poster stated mine is paid for and is low mileage. I can wait and get a good deal and still be ahead in the end.

I don't have to keep up with Old Man Jones he has to keep track of me instead!:ohyea:
