• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I'm thinking about down sizing... - from my 2022 RT S2S to a 2026 Ryker Rally.

Yup... Pondering downsizing from my 2022 RT S2S to a 2026 Ryker Rally. In the Fall of 2024, I upsized from a 2019 F3S to my then new RT S2S. I found myself doing more touring and the S2S made sense. Now, I find myself losing interest in the long distance tours after 30+ years of doing so. I am now enjoying the heck out of doing a couple of days a week lunch time rides with a group of buddies. These rides will vary from 100-175 miles along mostly rural/county highway roads. Freeways/Interstate rides are becoming less of a thing. There are, literally, 25+ brand new 2026 Ryker Rally/Sport's available within a 100 mile radius of me. I've seen some really nice prices available on these. With my Wisconsin riding season winding down, I'll take a few months to ponder this before I decide. I've pretty much decided on the Rally over the Sport, as the extra $1800-$2000 gets a lot of nice things added on. I should also note that I am a 100% solo rider, so this makes the switch a bit easier. Gonna be an interesting off season...

I'm lucky. I have a 2022 S2S AND a 2022 Ryker Rally. The S2S is great for the cross-country runs. The Rally brings out the teenager in me. It's a great machine for afternoon forays on twisty roads. I've added BahaRon's stabilizer bar on the Rally. It was well worth the price as it improved the handling. You will miss the power steering and the cushy heated seat of the S2S.
You're not downsizing, you are attacking life in a different direction. 🤓

My wife and I have both an RTL and a Ryker Sport which she mostly rides. The Rykers are fun, we did a lot of upgrades to the Ryker mostly to make it more comfortable and visible by adding lighting and better LED headlights with DRL's, storage which also made for better lighting and rear visibility, a CarPlay device, nice floorboards, and an Ultimate seat as the sport seat really sucked.

Stopped by a local dealer today to put my azz into the seats of both the Sport and Rally. I could feel the go-kart feeling of the Sport as it would be a hoot on the back roads, but the Rally felt the best to me. At least I might have that figured out :)

I tried the Ryker out before I bought my F3 and my back would never forgive me.

Once was all it took, I didn't even have to test drive it. Once I crammed myself in, it was very uncomfortable for me.

There are a lot of nooks and crannies in the hunting, game lands and forests around here that I would like to explore, but I will be eventually getting a Canyon, I haven't decided if I will sell the F3.

And with what I am hearing about the bags on the Canyon, I am leaning more towards an XT now, instead of a Redrock.
