• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Belt tension

Belt tension coming togeter Greetings! Thanks again for all the solid advice. I do not have an adjustable shock, so extending the shock to the end point will be a good reference point. Changed out the rear tire and am waiting for the dealer to get in the o ring in. Thanks again! Andy

    Shuddering when starting off

WHAT HE SAID! Same thing on ours. It goes away when warm. Dealer described it as cold oil circulating, or lack there of. Works well when warmed up.

2013 ST Rear Super Bright Tail and Turn Signals

Hey to all, It is almost spring here in Illinois and am getting the Spyder out of winter storage and thinking again about rear super bright tail and turn signal set ups, with flash if possible. I have see a few and they include the load resistor and mention do not use your 4 way flashers with...

    Chatter noise when taking off...

We have 6,000 miles on ours and still chatters when it is cold, below 55 degrees or so. When the oil warms up, no more chatter. When it is cold the shifts are delayed as well. Same deal, when it warms up, no more delay. The dealer told me the oil needs to warm up then the clutch likes it better...

To wear a helmet or not

I have worked in health care for two decades and done many rotations through the ER. How many stories I can tell of people, that if they would have worn a helmet, would still be here for their spouses and children. I have made many a walk back to the gurney with the patient on it, head smashed...

    New Side Vents - Electrics??

Just had my new side vents installed thanks to BRP - Yeah! I looked down them, and there are a lot of electrical wires hanging there, with connectors and so forth. I assume these will be ok when it rains? No report on resolution of heat issue, got to ride it a bit more, but so far they really...

Tunes for my 2013 ST S

Same thing here. The radio in my 2013 st-l works good, speakers are not so great. I use the Sena bluetooth helmet set up with my iPod. Love the set up. Wife rides with me, and she has the same. Sena's work great as intercom, blue tooth to the phone or your i pod or what ever. Ryde On!

    Break in

Greetings and welcome, looks like you have a new Spyder! The 600 mile mark is the first oil change / look under the hood, check things out time. Your Spyder is NOT broken in! I have a 2013 ST-L and at 5000 miles it is broken in. I notices a bit difference in the motors willingness to rev and...

    squeek/rubbing sound brand new st

Same squeeky sound here. My dealer (very good, btw), cleaned the rear brake up and said it will happen until around 5000 miles. He was right! Try cleaning things up with a water hose, but everyone so far is right. The brakes take a while to bed in. I would stop normally, and maybe a bit easy for...

    RS VS. ST

As others have said, take a back to back test drive. We have a 2013 ST Limited and love it. We had the dealer install the factory backrest and my wife loves it on back. I take the backrest and bags off when I am solo and the bike looks really good that way. The driving posititon for me is pretty...
