• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    FedEx is the worst!!!

UPS or even USPS for me too. They wanted it back to they could patch it up and offer it for $1000, seeing as there was a shortage.

    FedEx is the worst!!!

I had FedEx deliver a package a year ago. They delivered to a similar address, but not mine of course. So I called them and asked them to deliver it to my place. They told me, "oh you can go over there and pick it up". Nice. At least the resident was understanding. Another time, a FedEx truck...

Probably a stupid idea - thinking I might go from a 2018 F3 Ltd to an RTL S2S - am I crazy and should just keep what I have?

I share your view on the dashes. Now, they look like glorified game consoles or else tiny electronic units that aren't much bigger than cell phones, especially on any Harley that's smaller than a Tour Glide...

I needed, and found, the correct screws for the Rear ABS ring.

I kinda figured, since my local fastener supply place never heard of it. And I use blue too. It also explains why ordering fasteners from BP is so expensive.

I needed, and found, the correct screws for the Rear ABS ring.

Does anyone know what the thread locker is? Is it Loctite? I can't find yellow anywhere.

I needed, and found, the correct screws for the Rear ABS ring.

I had to replace the screws that hold the rear ABS sensor ring onto the disc, on my 2017 F3S. The problem is, no parts diagrams on the Can Am parts page shows the ring or the screws that hold it on. I even tried different years, and in all the brakes sections, the rear ring and screws are...

Did oil change & checked level properly; NO oil showing on dip stick - any ideas?

How about a silver dipstick with gradients like they used to make? One of the few bone-headed things the Spyder has, is that dipstick. Must have been a dipstick who engineered the thing. The problem with the 1330 dipstick is you can't see the oil level if it's fresh oil. You have to use a paper...

Why does the BRP Oil Change Kit have 5.5 quarts of oil?

Yep been there done that with hot oil. I use nitrile gloves now too. I think I'll wait until my next oil change is due, which will be in a few months. Then of course I'll change everything out. Thanks for the advice!

Intro and my initial problems with the throttle sensor and DESS on my 2011 RT - fixed now tho!

You can tell me... I'm not a thief and I already have a Spyder!

Why does the BRP Oil Change Kit have 5.5 quarts of oil?

Can you recommend a better hex head plug? It doesn't need to be magnetic. Edit: I just purchased Lamonster plugs. I wish I'd read this two days ago, I just changed the oil yesterday.

Why does the BRP Oil Change Kit have 5.5 quarts of oil?

I got rid of those Torx things with hex magnetic Gold Plugs.

Why so many Rykers for sale?

I think Spyders are easier to learn on if you've never ridden a motorcycle. That way, the new rider doesn't expect it to handle like a motorcycle. I've been on two wheels since I first got my driver's license, so when I first jumped on a Spyder, there was a "re-learning" curve. Now I have a...

Kenda tires - I truly don't understand the hateful responses to Kenda tires. I have over 22,000 km on mine and they're only 50% worn.

I just replaced my Kenda rear tire at 24k miles, its center was bald but I got a lot of miles out of it!

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

I presume that if the trike is well past the warranty miles and the output shaft snaps, then the trike owner is on their own, am I correct? Is it a repair that can be done, or is it new engine time?

Latest BRP Safety Bulletins for Shaft Replacement (2019-12) and Shaft & Sprocket Replacement (2019-13) Recalls - Jan 2025

In other words, if it doesn't break by such and such miles, then it won't? My trike is well past the mileage cap at 29k.
