• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

The hard start issue was resolved by moving all accessories to a separate remote relay. When that relay is in the off position, as far as the bike is concerned it thinks it has no accessories at all. The LiFePo battery also seems to have made a difference. There are 2 wires going to the...

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

I swapped the R2 relay previously, no change. Confirmed the new solenoid was dead, bought a premium for replacement, going in today after cleaning up some aux wiring. I get the feeling the original issue is still going to be there... the self starting problem with key off. Do you know the...

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

Well this is interesting... Connecting the battery directly to the starter cable, the starter turns over. The brand new heavy duty solenoid appears to be dead, I will pull it and bench test. So the next question is, what can kill a solenoid like that???

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

Good Morning Can Am People. I posted previously about not starting when hot, and by isolating all my accessories to a wireless controlled solenoid, I stopped having hot engine starting issues. Until yesterday. (Battery is LIFEPO and showing good voltage, has has no issues starting the Trike...

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

Neither fuse box has anything labeled Starter or Solenoid. Any idea where it's located? Also, there are two heavy wires going into the starter, with the ignition on and going to ground, each one read 5.5 volts... When hitting the start button, no voltage change. I will have to measure across...

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

I mentioned before my 2015 F3 SM6 is hard to start when hot. I recently added a LIFEPO battery and it definitely helped... BUT... I participated in a parade for the 4th, below idle speed, and I could tell the bike was getting hot, although the temp gauge never went above half After the parade...

Does anyone know a 2015 F3's standing current draw?

Does anyone know the current draw of an F3 with the engine off? Picked up a new LIFePO and something drained it down to 4 volts... possibly it was a bad battery, replaced it, and went on search and destroy with a clamp on ammeter, but really found nothing. However, now I'm only getting a 100ma...

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but I can't seem to find the thread, so my apologies... 2016 Spyder F3, starts fine in the morning, but even a quick 10 minute trip, once the engine is at operating temperature and I turn the bike off, it strains to start again. Acts like the battery...

Fabricating a heel shifter for my F3 - anything jump out as wrong?

Hey now Spyderlings! So, I got a mini welder for Fathers Day, and I've been teaching myself to stick weld. Managed to do an OK job of cutting and welding some highway pegs to fit my floor-boards. Considering an attempt at a heel shifter, this is a quick mock-up I made. Anything jump out...

Is there any way to read BUDS with an ODB2 device?

Yea, I saw some of the schematics.. way above my skill levels. The guy who invents and OBD2 to BUDS at a reasonable price will make a fortune!
