• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone had a vibrating mirror on F3-S? Not RT Style mirrors!

I have a 2024 Spyder F3-S and my mirrors vibrate like crazy. Even idling in the driveway. There are several solutions for the F3-T/L, and RT, but I don't see any fix for the S model. I know there was a recall for the 2022-23 but I think that was a different problem.

I'll ask the obvious question... have you checked the mounting screws are tight?
You sir are a genius. I rested my hand on the housings and they both felt really solid. All of the mounting screws were marked by BRP QC. I assumed they were properly torqued at the factory. However, this morning I torqued each of the hex screws to 6nm. They each turned at least 1/2 rotation before my torque wrench clicked. I haven't ridden yet. I'll report back the results if this fixed it later in the week. Fingers crossed .

Thanks for the suggestion.(y)

The "clip on" mirrors are notorious for being vibration-prone. Lamonster Garage sells a kit to replace the clip and stud with a bolt in place method. It's a bit more cumbersome to remove the mirrors when needed, but it got rid of the motion blur in the mirrors. Alternatively, you can make a set by purchasing T Slot Bolts for Thule, Yakima Roof Rack with 6 mm studs, lock nuts, and flat washers; there is a bit of fabrication needed, making the Lamonster Garage kit the ticket.

Yup, you are correct CRSpyder3, and I failed to comprehend F3-S and went down a different rabbit hole. We've had multiple F3-S machines, and I still have a 2015. Mirror vibration at idle has never been an issue.

I see the part numbers have changed between the 2015 and the 2024 model years, although in the parts schematic they look the same for mounting. It wouldn't seem the small torque change would "fix" the vibration.

As you have corrected the mounting bolts to the console, check the break-away pivot bolt and mechanism. The last movements are the mirror on its swivel inside the housing. If the mirrors are vibrating at engine idle, and presumably the vibration is causing distortion/lack of visibility in the mirror, you should be able to detect movement in one of those three joints.

One last thought is the engine itself: as you have comparison to the RT, does your F3-S vibrate more that the RT?

The F3-S idles and drives incredibly smooth. I'll look at the breakaway bolt this weekend, but it is spring loaded so I don't think that I'll find anything there. If I still have a vibration, I believe that would lead to the inside swivel ball joint. I don't think there is any adjustment to that. Maybe warranty?
