• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone modified the brake pedal to make it easier to use?

Can anyone provide any cost estimate for converting a 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT SE6 to add a hand brake? I'm probably going to need one sooner or later due to neuropathy and foot drop I've been experiencing lately.

I have the same problem, fortunately mostly with my left foot at this time. I put the wider brake pedal on and it really helped a lot. I believe the cost for a handbrake is about $1400 uninstalled.

You can see what it has cost others doing this conversion, some fairly recently too, in the existing threads on the subject. To find them, you can look at the 'Similar threads' block below the posts in this thread, you'll often find useful links in there; or you can search specifically for previous threads on this subject by typing 'ISCI' into the Search field, Top Right of the page, outboard of your username; tick the box that says 'Search titles only'; and submit the search to bring back quite a lot of info on the ISCI hand brakes; or you might search for just 'Brake' (more threads to sort thru tho!) or 'Hand Brake', as there are cheaper but more 'personally intensive' methods available if you want to identify and source all the necessary components yourself, but there's lots of info here, if you look. ;)

Been following your thread. I went back to the smaller foot brake pedal because the larger one took up too much room over the right footboard. Good reviews on the aftermarket right hand brake lever. Yep, it's pricey all right, but when you pencil out going through the windshield, it's not that expensive. JMHO

2dogs,
You are correct about the wider brake pedal taking up more space on the floorboard. Another problem with it is that a few times I have not taken my foot off the brake. I found the problem relatively quickly. I have done the same on two-wheel motorcycles, perhaps because of my neuropathy, coupled with my big feet. I am conscious of it now and hopefully it won't happen again. I miss the front brake, and even after having ridden the Spyder for more than 1200 miles, I still occasionally reach for it.

I put the wider brake pedal on my 2018 and removed it as my PN foot would get caught under it. Luckily my 2021 F150 is not suppose to run into a vehicle ahead of it.
