• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

Ok maybe an hour is a bit much but 10 minutes is not enough time to replace 1 % of the battery capacity. You just took 100 amps out of the battery and now you need to replace it. That would be 16.6 amp minutes and assuming the charge rate of the system is low (1 amp or less to avoid over heating the battery) it would take more than 20 minutes to replace it.
More typically my starter runs 1-2 seconds. Since we're guessing at the charge rate, I'm going to guess that the Spyder charges at the recommended 2A at any kind of rpms at all. 10 minutes is more than enough to replace the charge from a nominal start.

I need a new battery for my 2022 F3S, and there seems to be a lot of choices and opinions. Which one is the current go to battery these days?
I see Lamonsters carries a Drag specialty branded one that looks good, but not sure.
Thanks for any info. I have the original Chinese battery in the F3S now.

Yuasa is a top-rated motorcycle battery, made in the USA, and was original equipment on Rykers and Spyders until a couple of years ago. I got 5 years and 22K miles on the OEM Yuasa in my Ryker, and just replaced the cheap battery that died in my Spyder with a Yuasa.
