I do miss the coastal redwoods.Rode North on Hwy CA 101 up to the rest area near Trinidad CA, and stopped to clean my faceshield and mirrors. It was sunny when I left, but foggy up North, and a bit chilly.

My 2023 RTL is the same way, no split pin. No problems without it and I am on my third tire. Don't worry about it.Last week I changed the rear tyre on my Spyder, When removing the wheel we noticed no split pin on the axle and strangely only 1 hole drilled. We put it all back together and I ordered a Krikit and 36mm spanner and socket (I had to borrow them initially). I contacted the dealer 90 miles from me to ask about the split pin and was told "they don't use them now, just torque it up and go." What thoughts Spyder gurus? My Spyder is a 2023 RTL
I never touch the adjuster… did 2 so far…My 2023 RTL is the same way, no split pin. No problems without it and I am on my third tire. Don't worry about it.
And a "just for what's worth" note, when I change out the rear tire I will back off the adjusters an even 10 turns on each bolt. (you can use whatever number you easily remember) When it gets reinstalled I turn them back in the same 10 turns and the adjustment usually is very close.
This was my first change and I followed all I could on this site to carry the job out. I'm not new to bits of m/c mechanics, but I feel at 70, I tend to over think the job in hand.'.I never touch the adjuster… did 2 so far…
I taped mine, (from a video on this site) but a good tip, thanks. My 2023 RTL is the same way, no split pin. No problems without it and I am on my third tire. Don't worry about it.

One of my best friends is very active in the BMW K1600 group, so I end up doing many rides where almost everyone else is on a Beemer.I gave my Canyon a good 100 mile run to Moose Head Cafe. Our local BMW+ club met with the Two-Wheeled Texans group for our annual Christmas lunch. Then I rode 100 miles home. We did not take the direct route. And yes, the Two-Wheeled Texans are not prejudiced; they allow three wheelers.
