• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there any way to buy the European style rear lighting kit on arms in America?

The European models have lights in the rear on arms and I'd like to get more visibility from my rear brakes due to the aftermarket shelving I have installed. I'd love to be able to get those installed as they would fit perfectly. The shelf is removable so an amazon special that permanently affixes to the shelf wouldn't work well.

Here's a photo from Martin's shop for those unfamiliar.

Martin's website for the lights is here:

List price is 129.99 Euros, which is about US $150.

About half way down the page it says:

North America

Our Full LED Tail Lights are meticulously crafted to seamlessly integrate with the specifications of Spyder models across different continents. For Spyders with turn signals integrated into the taillights (North America), our plug-and-play installation seamlessly activates daytime running lights (DRL), brake lights, and turn signals, providing comprehensive safety features wherever you ride.

So use the contact information on the website and ask about shipping costs to wherever you are.

If I am reading it right, that kit is LEDs for their factory tail lights, similar to ours. The ones on the outboard stalks are turn signals. Believe the OP would like to make these outer stalks into combo brake/turn lights, as well as the factory inner ones. Wonderful idea! Don’t see that Martin’s parts will help as is. Am sure something can be custom fashioned for wiring etc and correct European spec stalk parts ordered, but at what cost?

The description on the website has this in the description:

Full LED Tail Lights for your Can-Am Spyder Spyder F3, F3s, F3 Special Series 2015 - Present are Plug & Play to instal and work as
  • Day Lights
  • Brake Lights
  • Turn Lights

Correct, TheMariner. Martin’s parts are to change the inboard factory brake lights (just like ours) to LED’s. Does nothing for the lights on the outboard stalks (turn signals).

Australian models have those same arms & lights. Please note: The lights are turn signals only... the red parts are a reflector.
That's unfortunate, I have good blinkers I just wanted more easily seen brake lights. There's not much out there that fits my particular setup. I'm thinking now I'm going to get a universal brake light and solder in a waterproof connector to connect and disconnect when and if I remove the shelf.

I don't think there's too much arguing, it's more that there's some confusion about which lights do what!

If you look at and scroll thru the pics in the link below showing the lights that Martin is selling, it's NOT the lights on the arms that you can see in the first 2 pics that he's selling LED's for, those lights on stalks just happen to be in the pic showing the Main Rear light, and if you scroll on, it's pretty clear that it is ONLY the main lights in the 3rd, 4th, & 5th pics that he is selling:

From those later pics, it's clear that the lights he's actually selling ARE NOT the Turn/Indicator only lights on stalks that Australian & European spec Spyders get - AFAIK, the ONLY place you can get those stalks/arms and Turn/Indicator lights from is BRP, and even then they do not work as anything but Turn Indicators on our Aust/EU Spec Spyders. Plus, even if you do fit them to a North American Spec Spyder, I'm not all that sure that you can even get them to work as Turn Indicators on one of them anyway, not without changing the Country Code on the Computer, and if you do that, it can mess up a whole lot of other things for you too!!

So @Jaklcide's proposed solution in post #7 is probably the best way to go about it! (y)
