There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Is a Handbrake for the Can Am Canyon Redrock/XT available?

I have a front right handlebar handbrake on my 2016 Can Am Spyder RTS SE6. I really like it with my longer legs. I'm considering a Can Am Canyon XT but really would like a handbrake option plus forward foot pegs accessory. I found foot pegs to extend my legs, but nothing on any possible handbrake system.

*** I just checked with a Supplier of handlebar brakes for my Spyder RTS. They will not be made for Canyon's until more Canyon Redrock's or XT's are sold and there is a demand or interest for this type of brake. ***

Glad you are checking on the handlebar brakes for Canyon. I would be interested in that brake as well if you ever find it, but fine with the foot brake for now.

It probably wouldn't be very hard at all to adapt an RT Handbrake kit to fit a Canyon. After all, there's nothing that's computer controlled in the handbrake itself, it's just added on mechanical &/or hydraulic bits - ALL of the truly technical stuff is done by and already in the Spyder's computers/ABS/VSS etc, regardless of whether 'the Spyder' is an RT, a Canyon, or an F3. ;)

AFAIKS, the lever bit is very likely a straight 'bolt on' job to any model, as is the bit down by the pedal/master, so you might need a longer hydraulic line to that supplied in the RT's kit; and apart from that, it's just a matter of fitting it, maybe adapting a mount &/or using a different bolt/screw or two. Mind you, if you do some searching and reading, there are threads here discussing alternative 'DIY handbrake' options to the commercially supplied kits. Any of these DIY Jobs could be readily adapted pretty much by anyone who knows what end of a screwdriver to hit (😋); some of the threads even listing all the parts required and suppliers; and the end result on everything like this that I've seen so far has been the same if not better than the commercially supplied kits (thru better matching of the lever pull effort to the pedal push effort thru choosing 'the right' hydraulic components giving almost as good braking with the handbrake lever as with the foot pedal, unlike the commercially available kits!) and the DIY stuff usually works out somewhat cheaper than the commercially supplied units too, and not only cos you get to do the sourcing and fitting! ;)
