• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yesterday, I ordered a set of EBC front rotors and brake pads.

I am just waiting for them.

Had my second service on Wednesday and like the first service the front discs and pads will have to be replaced under warranty and they will no doubt fit the same sub standard discs as the last time

UT 95 is mostly in the canyons around Lake Powell, or what is left of it. It is not as scary as the hogbacks. You cross the Dirty Devil and Colorado rivers where they come into the lake. Then you're in canyon country with sweepers. Highly recommended.
Most of Utah has great riding. I'm headed thru there now on the way to Denver.
Enjoy the ride!
Ride safe my friend, it looks like bad weather was forming. We kept ahead of the dark clouds, just, on our way back from Torrey to the Salt Lake Valley, via Moroni and Nephi to I-15 and up. Every time we stopped for gas or munchies the dark clouds were getting dark and closer.

the discs are warped again so the pads will have to be repla
Why are your disks warping? Do they replace the disks as well as the pads each time? Is it both sides and just the front? Could the hub be corroded between the disk and the hub where they didn't clean it off when replacing the disk? Is the ABS pump or the master cylinder keeping the pads binding? Have the caliper's pistons corroded from salt exposure and are not letting the pads retract fully? I'd kind of have a list of questions to be answered other than the dealer throwing new pads at the issue.

I know they are not the most expensive disks in the world, and they're not fully floating either, but they should be a long lasting wear item at the very least.

HI weeneil,

My spyder has 8,747.2 miles on it.

The reason why I am changing my OEM front brakes, and rotor's is that I got some shaking when I applied the brakes hard. I didn't get the shaking when I applied the brakes not hard.

I still have the OEM tires on my bike.

How many miles do you have on your Spyder?

I also had some shaking with hard braking and at the first service it was the service guy who told me the rotors were warped and they replaced them( last year in June ). Last week when I took it in for second service I said the left hand wheel was juddering when braking ( same as the first time )and when I picked the bike up the same service guy said the rotor was "running out and would need to be replaced. The bike has 9,500 miles on now

Something is causing this.

Some possibilities are:
1: Improper torquing of wheel lugs.
2: Improper torquing of brake rotor.
3: Debris or corrosion between rotor and hub, or between wheel and hub.
4: Improper caliper alignment causing pad dragging the rotor.
5: Stuck piston or caliper slide pin.
6: Hard braking from high speed, followed by holding the brakes while stationary. (This causes uneven cooling of the rotor, seen a lot in automatic transmission cars as well.)

Warping is very often heat related, so anything that causes excessive heat, and especially uneven heat or cooling, can be the cause.

Good luck getting it sorted out permanently.
