• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Did the BajaRon sway bar upgrade to my 2012 RT (on the cheap)...

Scored a used BajaRon sway bar off Ebay for a good deal - in perfect shape, minus the end links. So for a few bucks more I made end links with Heim joints and coupling nuts I bought online. I made them exactly the same length as the old links and put the old OEM links in the trunk, in case of any emergency.

First off, let me say that if the wallet had been thick enough, I definitely would have purchased the kit from BajaRon. It was in the plans, but when I spotted the bargain on Ebay, how could I pass it up? (Answer: I couldn't)

I am thrilled to have this done and installed and I'm looking forward to the test ride tomorrow!

Hey, there's nothing wrong with used parts, and a sway bar is one of those things that is going to wear out that fast!!! I bet you say a great difference in the handling!

Thanks all. Due to unforeseen circumstances I have not yet done that test ride, but I will report back.

My only original concern was with the homemade end links, but I built them solid, used red thread locker and they look to me like they should be fine.

🤞

I made similar home made links for my Kawasaki KRX 1000 along with pins, so I could quickly remove or install them on both front and rear sway bars. The bars on the SxS were much larger, and I never had an issue with them. The KRX weighed in at 2550 lbs.

I think I am up to 5 old sway bars and links kicking around. Three from my Spyders, one from an in-laws 2014, and one from another friend.
