• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I got lucky, weather-wise, transiting your part of the country. Drove through after the extreme heat and before the extreme wet. But traffic-wise, driving through the SLC area is one of my least favorite places. I routinely go East at Spanish Fork up the canyon to 89 and south to Kanab. Much more relaxed and enjoyable. And I do enjoy the small towns along that route. There was a lot of flooding debris and evidence alongside of the road in many areas. Very glad I was not there for that event!

I like that route too. Highway 89 is notorious for mudslides as can be seen from the remains of the Town of Thistle which is buried to the rooftops. When Thistle was buried I think it took out the rail road too, for quite a long time.

Anything to not use I-15. I wish there was a better way across southern Utah from West to East than I-70.
 
Surprise! It's STILL raining!!!

A total of 4.25 inches since midnight Friday, 1.2 inches since midnight last night.

No dog issues this morning, though, as it was raining lightly without any lightning, yet.

Another inch predicted for today with more of the same tonight.

Will I EVER get to mow the dang lawn?

We’ve had thunderstorms for the past few days. The first big clap of thunder and my cats woke up and looked around. After that they’ve just slept through all the subsequent flashes and bangs. Me, not so much.

Opening the fridge door though and if it’s within two hours of feeding time, they’re awake and at your feet.
 
I enjoyed a little lake time with some friends on Sunday afternoon. Kind of the Last Blast on the Lake. The boat will be winterized soon. Boating Season is getting shorter and shorter every year. Well, it sure seems that way. This year's heat advisory was a big factor.

Currently overcast sky and some rain showers at 64°F. Going to be a crazy weather day. High on Sunday of 84°F.

Today's high at 66°F with rain showers, with a Low of 55°F with lots of clouds.
We need some good rain here. Maybe this is the rain we have been waiting for all month?

The weather people are saying that Autumn is scheduled to arrive tomorrow night. Now they know the exact time, so for us, it will be at 8:04pm EST. That makes September 23rd the first full day of Autumn.

Kind of the way our Government officials cannot make up their minds on the DST.
That's the way it goes.

I looked at the 10-day weather forecast for my area here in the desert S.W. It shows high temperatures between 95 and 100 with lows between 75 and 80 degrees. No rain in the forecast. Today's numbers fall right in line with the extended forecast, High will be 100 and low of 75 degrees, It's mostly sunny with some high cirrus clouds filtering the sunshine. The breeze is light, between 3 and 5 MPH and the humidity is 33% and falling. Stay safe..... Jim
 
Yesterday's rain was good because we needed it. We had a 20°F drop from Sunday's high to Monday's high. I was surprised by the big change. Due to all the rain, my yard is extremely wet. So I took the Day Off and just relaxed a little.

It is a wonderful experience to be retired and enjoying your life. Just don't like the Health Issues of old age. So I will not say anything about it.

Currently, we have a mostly cloudy sky at 57°F. No rain scheduled for us today. Maybe the yard will dry out a little bit. The rain and wind made for a lot of leaves on the ground. Autumn is this evening at 8:04pm est in Indiana.

High today of 66°F with clouds.
Low at 56°F and cloudy sky.
Everything is going good here for me.
Have a Great Spyder Ryde Time.

Still have people who are displaced from the Indiana Flooding. The State is very slow with the process. The Federal Government is not very fast either.
Some of our Community members and Church members are trying to raise funds for people with great needs.
