Your Weather News @ September 2026 Edition

I got lucky, weather-wise, transiting your part of the country. Drove through after the extreme heat and before the extreme wet. But traffic-wise, driving through the SLC area is one of my least favorite places. I routinely go East at Spanish Fork up the canyon to 89 and south to Kanab. Much more relaxed and enjoyable. And I do enjoy the small towns along that route. There was a lot of flooding debris and evidence alongside of the road in many areas. Very glad I was not there for that event!
I like that route too. Highway 89 is notorious for mudslides as can be seen from the remains of the Town of Thistle which is buried to the rooftops. When Thistle was buried I think it took out the rail road too, for quite a long time.

Anything to not use I-15. I wish there was a better way across southern Utah from West to East than I-70.

Surprise! It's STILL raining!!!

A total of 4.25 inches since midnight Friday, 1.2 inches since midnight last night.

No dog issues this morning, though, as it was raining lightly without any lightning, yet.

Another inch predicted for today with more of the same tonight.

Will I EVER get to mow the dang lawn?

We’ve had thunderstorms for the past few days. The first big clap of thunder and my cats woke up and looked around. After that they’ve just slept through all the subsequent flashes and bangs. Me, not so much.

Opening the fridge door though and if it’s within two hours of feeding time, they’re awake and at your feet.

I enjoyed a little lake time with some friends on Sunday afternoon. Kind of the Last Blast on the Lake. The boat will be winterized soon. Boating Season is getting shorter and shorter every year. Well, it sure seems that way. This year's heat advisory was a big factor.

Currently overcast sky and some rain showers at 64°F. Going to be a crazy weather day. High on Sunday of 84°F.

Today's high at 66°F with rain showers, with a Low of 55°F with lots of clouds.
We need some good rain here. Maybe this is the rain we have been waiting for all month?

The weather people are saying that Autumn is scheduled to arrive tomorrow night. Now they know the exact time, so for us, it will be at 8:04pm EST. That makes September 23rd the first full day of Autumn.

Kind of the way our Government officials cannot make up their minds on the DST.
That's the way it goes.

Be Happy and say Healthy.

I looked at the 10-day weather forecast for my area here in the desert S.W. It shows high temperatures between 95 and 100 with lows between 75 and 80 degrees. No rain in the forecast. Today's numbers fall right in line with the extended forecast, High will be 100 and low of 75 degrees, It's mostly sunny with some high cirrus clouds filtering the sunshine. The breeze is light, between 3 and 5 MPH and the humidity is 33% and falling. Stay safe..... Jim

Yesterday's rain was good because we needed it. We had a 20°F drop from Sunday's high to Monday's high. I was surprised by the big change. Due to all the rain, my yard is extremely wet. So I took the Day Off and just relaxed a little.

It is a wonderful experience to be retired and enjoying your life. Just don't like the Health Issues of old age. So I will not say anything about it.

Currently, we have a mostly cloudy sky at 57°F. No rain scheduled for us today. Maybe the yard will dry out a little bit. The rain and wind made for a lot of leaves on the ground. Autumn is this evening at 8:04pm est in Indiana.

High today of 66°F with clouds.
Low at 56°F and cloudy sky.
Everything is going good here for me.
Have a Great Spyder Ryde Time.

Still have people who are displaced from the Indiana Flooding. The State is very slow with the process. The Federal Government is not very fast either.
Some of our Community members and Church members are trying to raise funds for people with great needs.

Yesterday's little bit of sunshine was just as advertised. Today's clouds will keep the sun to a minimum. So the temperatures are going to stay close to the same.

Currently cloudy sky at 54°F. No ryding for me today. I have several indoor projects assigned by the way. Maybe I can get one of those completed.

Today is the First Full Day of FALL here in Indiana. That's what my TV NEWS People are saying.

High today of 63°F with clouds.
Low at 56°F and cloudy.
Next sunny day is possibly Saturday.
A 25% chance of rain showers this evening. That would be a good thing.

Have yourself a Blessed Day and Stay Healthy. Ryde when you can and enjoy. Till Next Time my Spyder Friend. (y)

Mostly overcast this morning here in the desert. The cloud cover is pretty thin with a few blue areas, Currently it's 86 degrees, humidity at 39%, very light breeze. The high today will be 95. There's a pretty good chance of rain late tonight and into early tomorrow morning. (10PM-2AM). That'll be a non-event for me because I'll be off in dream land. Stay safe..... Jim

Overcast all day here in north Alabama with the high today around 85. When I took a spin this morning it was 72.

Driving a Spyder: Side effects may include smiling.

Good Morning to you currently overcast sky at 57°F. I am going to take the day off and visit a sick friend. Nothing contagious makes me feel good. Just wanted people to know.

High today of 70°F with lots of hase.
Must be the smoke from forests fires.
Low at 48°F. Now that is cold stuff.

Have yourself a Grand Day and Ryde.

The forecasted overnight rain didn't happen, at least at my house. Instead, thunderstorms started at 5AM and lasted for about an hour. Then they came back about 8AM very loudly, and wet. By 11AM the storms had passed leaving just cloudy skies and 80 degrees. Humidity is now 58% and the wind is calm. The high today will only get to 88 degrees as we go through the drying out process this afternoon. I had planned to attend one of the small summer car-guy gatherings this morning, but the T-storms kept my old blue pony in its stable. Stay safe..... Jim

Finally Friday here in Indiana. I saw the early edition of the next full moon 🌝.
Tomorrow is the real deal on the full moon.

Currently mostly cloudy sky at 51°F.
No rain scheduled for us today.
Enjoy your Ryde Time and Stay Healthy.

High today of 71°F with clouds.
Low at 47°F and cloudy sky.
I am feeling good about my Spyder Ryde Time this morning.

Welcome to the Last Weekend of September 2026. The Moon is Full this morning here in Indiana. I got all of my yard work done yesterday. Also enjoyed the Spyder Ryde Time.
I hope you had some Ryde Time yesterday.

Currently mostly cloudy sky but several clear sections to see the Moon. The temperature is chilly at 52°F. Not a friendly temperature for me. I enjoy 60s much better.

Today's high will be 74°F with sunshine.🌞
Low at 43°F with sun.
Enjoy your Day and Stay Healthy.

Sunday's high is 75°F and sunny.
Low at 45°F with sunshine.
Spend some time with your family and friends.

Bright and sunny with a few high cirrus clouds here in the Arid-Zone-A desert. But that will change on Monday. Currently it's 89 degrees with <2 MPH breeze. The high today will be a warm 98. The remnants of hurricane Polo will create a weather pattern that will funnel moisture (rain) from the Sea of Cortez north into Arizona and New Mexico on Monday and Tuesday. We need the rain. Stay safe..... Jim

Have yourself a great day today.
Do a Spyder Ryde for yourself.

Indiana Farmers are getting the
Harvest process in top gear now.
We are scheduled for some rain on Friday and Saturday. Hopefully this rain will be a gentle one.

Everything is going good here for me and my wife.

The rain that was forecast in the desert for today and tomorrow has started. Not real heavy, just light sprinkles so far. Temperatures will only get to the high 70s today. Wind is 7 MPH with gusts to 19. The overcast and on and off rain is expected to last through tomorrow. Later in the week we will return to 90+ degree temperatures and sunshine. But, for now, the monster that lives in my utility room (The AC) is getting a well-deserved rest. Stay safe..... Jim
