How bad was the oil leak? I have a 2016 RT with a short ton of miles. What was the part#?
Yes. Normally the part# is a 9-digit number. Also, are we talking about the part that the parts diagram calls an "oil pressure switch"?Which part#? Do you mean the part# shown in post #2??![]()
I suppose this could be a typical area for confusion. The 1330 SE6 has both, an Oil Pressure SWITCH, and an Oil Pressure SENSOR. (Both were referred to as switches in parts lists until halfway through 2016)Yes. Normally the part# is a 9-digit number. Also, are we talking about the part that the parts diagram calls an "oil pressure switch"?
Which part#? Do you mean the part# shown in post #2??![]()
OK, my bad on this one. I was referencing the Cam Position Sensor, which is the source of a much more common leak issue. The part # I gave in post # 2 was not for the Oil Pressure Sensor located low on the engine. I have corrected that error.Thank you for clairifying this for me. Hope mine don't fail as the sensor is very expensive.
Have not changed HCM filter yet and did check the torque on bolts. Still could be the oil pressure light switch, will check that tomorrow.
Have you been changing the o-ring on the cap or reusing it?Best I can tell after letting it run for 20min. looks like the filter cap, need to do an oil change anyway. Never had filter cap leak before. Time will tell. Thanks
