• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Going Down Memory Lane; Show Us Your First Motorbikes & Your Current Spyder

My current and surprisingly one of the most fun bikes is my 2023 RTL, plus a few from the past - my 1973 Honda 750; along with another favorite, my 99 Honda Valkyrie, always a head turner; and one of the many Touring bikes, a '19 Harley Ultra. Great topic, I love the old pictures.

On my Honda SL 175 I didn't do hill climbing. I was more interested in
off-road and trail ryding. Several good friends had acres of wood land
that we used for trail ryding. We even had a handful of small jumps. (y)

When I had a Honda SL175, I used it for on road and off road riding. I had a lot of fun on it. I did find that it did not have enough low end torque at times on steep and rough trails. Also when going downhill, it did not have enough engine drag to not to have to use brakes to keep speed down. I fixed that by trading it in for the Honda XL250. While I was in school, my XL250 was stolen just after I had finished breaking it in.

I had one of those and a later 110 model. They had the worst front fork angle, that made them handle different than a normal motorcycle. Fail to make a hill and they free wheeled backwards down the hill, so one had to lay it down right away if you did not make a hill. Other than that they were pretty good machines with the dual range transmission.

That was the number one reason for me about
'Hill Climbing'. I just didn't want to fall down the
Hill. (y)
