• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Has anyone tried these Mods to their RT622 Lid Seals? Better ideas?

Thanks, that's the plan long term. The weather forecast suggests we have another wet ride home so I'm looking for something that I can do while away

Has anyone tried these Mods to their RT622 Lid Seals? Better ideas?

Am away with the chief cook and got an absolute drenching - in the RT622 trailer. The beading looks in good nick but it hasn't sealed well enough to keep the water out. I checked the way the luggage was packed and couldn't see anything pushing either of the lids up off their seals. I am...

BRP changes re: sending links to instructions

I didnt know this existed. How do you find "stuff"? I have tried different query syntaxes and queries and it doesn't make it easy to find anything.

When and where was the first time you rode a Can-Am tryke ??

At the dealership where I bought it. A mate had a '14 RTL and would come to visit and offer it to me to take for a ride. I'd say "NO it's something my cheque book would have to resolve if I did" Another mate to the two of us, had me come to the city with him and we decided to go to one of the...

Try BajaRon's stabilizer before getting new Shocks? Or What?

I fitted Wilburs which were built to my specs. The bike is much more comfortable to ride especially long distances and does everything much much better. I chose a more touring-oriented build than sports. The Spyder was nervous in rough corners, and when you encountered one of those corners...

Try BajaRon's stabilizer before getting new Shocks? Or What?

Shocks first, I was ambivalent, but rode one of each and went the shocks. The Stabilizer solved a problem, the shocks solved multiple.

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

new 1981 model Suzuki ER185 so many enjoyable hours. I recall doing things like riding 120km to the nearest city just to have a Kentucky Fried Chicken Chocolate mousse because I could :) Only regret - not buying 20'000 Litres of petrol at the price it was then 38c/L:)

Is there any other way of disengaging cruise control?

I tap on the brake. It trips the Cruise control and sort of warns the guy behind me I'm dropping speed. Sometimes I'll drop a gear due to a need to drop a gear knowing it will trip the CC

    Downshifting vs Braking

No issues; I do either. Sometimes I manually downshift, while others, I let the RTL do the work.

    2013 RTL versus 2018 RT?

I had a 2018 RTL for a few weeks while my '17 was in the shop. The self-adjusting suspension works exceptionally well either solo or two up or two up plus load of gear for cruising Didn't like the instrument cluster I imagine if you've been on a 990 motor you'll love the 1330 Other than these...

How do you handle different tire pressure readings?

I know how you feel. I had my digital gauge, tyre inflator gauge and TPMS all saying different readings. I quickly determined the brand of TPMS i bought wasn't accurate. My own personal preference is that both front tires must have the same pressure - it really annoys me when they are...

    Here's some New Kenda Tires!?!

Are Kenda's good. Its all ab out perspective. So long as you don't have a problem with: Poor Grip Poor Handling Constant Vibration odd shaped out of round tyres then yes they are great. The Spyder Dealership put a Non Kenda tyre on for me at one of my services (its 500km round trip) I could...
