• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are these torque specs for rear axle, rotor, & calipers correct?

BE CAREFUL with those rotor bolts!! They have a ****load of yellow loctite on them and will strip fairly easily! You will have better luck with an impact driver to loosen them than a ratchet... May even need some heat...

Are there any Mirror stiffeners for an F3-S?

That is odd! Mine have been solid from day one... Have you checked the mounting bolts for them and tightened if needed? Or are you talking about the glass itself? Again, I can't recall anyone having issues with the F3S mirrors coming loose or falling out...

Fitted a new Kumho Ecsta AST to the rear, what pressure is recommended?

You have to remember that every tire out there will get circumferential growth at speed... This inherently makes the center wear on a "lighter" vehicle... I run 14psi cold on mine and it warms to 16.5 running and I am STILL getting more center wear on my Yoko...

Lithium Ion batteries and winter storage

My statement was more toward "IN the bike or car or whatever"... They take temperature extremes and changes better etc... They discharge more evenly and recover easier when hooked up to a maintainer...

Lithium Ion batteries and winter storage

LiFePo are MORE resilient to storage than AGM/LA units... I would def use the maintainer for sure as there is no reason not to. It is better to avoid discharge and repetition of it as well as it will keep the cells "balanced" in their state of charge... In the beginning some had an initially...

Doing a Fuel injector replacement - what are these brass bits for?

Weird! Kinda looks like Air bleed screws for idle trim?

What's with this Coolant Overflow? Expanding/purging after shut-down?

You could be fighting with "air pockets" in the system, then when the system "purges" one of these and it returns to the reservoir, it can "burp" the cap and take some coolant with it... Most don't know that there is an actual BLEEDER on the front of the engine block that can be used to purge...

Have any of you running Lithium batteries had issues with electronics?

I've had a Shorai in my F3S for 6yrs now without ANY issues. Wife even managed to disconnect the tender lead somehow and I didn't catch it for a month or so during winter!!

    Broke down in Anthem AZ

Just so you know, it is NOT really "included" it is baked into the price and averages 52.00 per tire. Still, it is nice to have and it has paid off for me on a 550.00 tire!!

If you bottom out your 20-22 Can Am watch this video

A word of caution... DON'T do it!! The springs aren't designed for and can't handle the "side loading" and flex inducing fulcrum points that these "inserts" create and will eventually break! Can't tell you how many I have pulled out of cars with broken springs... OP: A happy middle ground...

998cc Bike shakes and shudders when I put it in gear - any ideas why?

I would be inspecting your vacuum lines. High idle usually means a vacuum leak and the lines on your model are prone to hardening and cracking... BR should have replacements as well....

Site slowed down with loading noticed.

It most likely has to do with your ISP and how they handle your traffic... Some use a nefarious method called "traffic shaping" which is a fancy term for selective downloading depending on quantity, type etc. With a VPN all they see is an encrypted stream and cannot apply algorithms to it.

What are your thoughts on a Front wheel drive Spyder?

The primary problem with FWD is it makes the steering "heavier" when the wheels are being "driven"... In a small package like our Spyders it would be a very noticeable thing and detrimental to how it handles... Plus the boost needed from the DPS would be well beyond what it can do without...

Any Way to disable VSS/Traction control or severely dumb it down?

Have you looked at the Yokohama Advan Fleva for the rear and the Federal Formoza AZ-01's for the fronts? I use them on my F3S... I don't know the sizes you need but worth it to look! Both are GREAT performance tires...

Is it possible to do a DIY reflash on an F3?

You cannot do it yourself if you want the Monster/WickIt tuning.. You can do it yourself with a DynoJet Powervision but I don't feel the tune is as "refined".... If you do it thru WickIt or Monster (one in the same) I highly recommend the Stage 2...
