• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Throw away fasteners

I have also owned 356 Porsches (one 1957 Speedster, one 1961 Karmann bodied coupe, one 1963 1600 S). None of them had disc brakes. Yours must have been 1964 or newer 356C.

Big Announcement! The 'Delete Threads & Posts' option is being disabled!

mods will keep things from getting out of control between members (as has happened all too many times) they will also move mis-posted threads to the correct subforums. This will help all of us here to learn to post a new thread in the proper place so those interested in a particular subforum...

Big Announcement! The 'Delete Threads & Posts' option is being disabled!

good stuff! this may help people realize the need to take time to think before they post and then, by posting responsibly, have no need to delete ill thought out posts. if there is some burning desire to delete a thread, it can always be edited to remove/replace what was written

    External Battery Jump Port

Seems to be a good idea. And Slingmods is probably not the manufacturer, nor does lamonster manufacture his jump pack, nor are most sellers of aftermarket products the manufacturers of them. The jump port is a good idea because it lets you ground to the frame which, in most cases, is better...

    XPS oil

The XPS will be fine. It is, after all, a Can Am branded product. No need to worry about synthetic being for winter and a blend being for summer. That makes no difference. There might be a different viscosity used but synthetic or non has no bearing on the season.

    a Ryker for 2up & a lot of luggage ??

I understand wanting luggage on your ride. Have never had a bike or Spyder without. As was mentioned above, the Ryker was not developed to be a touring ride. I expect it could be a great solo tourer though, but without adding too much crap. Many will make it work for them as has been done with...

Ryker 900 Basic or Rally - what is the diference ??

There are several 205/55-15 tires made. Here's a link to Tire Rack. I realize you don't have Tire Rack in Austria but it at least gives you some manufacturers to look into. https://tires.tirerack.com/tires/205%2055%2015

WIRE WHEELS for the Ryker ??

Wire wheels might look good. The ones in the link are car wheels with ribbed hubs and they sure as heck won't work on a Ryker. Many of today's spoked wheels can deal with tubeless tires. That won't be an issue. I doubt the aftermarket will develop a spoked wheel for the Ryker based on demand...

I do not think spectacularspyderman was berating anyone. Rather expressing a lack of knowledge of those he mentioned. The comment was spot on. There are way to many who do not remember or do not even know what happened on this date 77 years ago. As an example, our local paper today (a reading...

    Florida Vehicle Insurance

I suggest Allstate. I personally would not have Progressive if they were the only ins. company in the world. You will soon hear "I only pay this for full coverage" or "My full coverage is cheap with xyz company" There is no such thing as "full coverage". It is not a defined amount of insurance...
