• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heated Gear - need advice/video/detailed instructions on where/how to wire?

While my RT was under warranty I was about 110 miles from home and got into limp mode. Back then there was a notorious key-antenna problem and lots of suggestions. I tried all my known incantations and finally limped home at low speed and no cruise control. Turned out to be a loose battery...

Heated Gear - need advice/video/detailed instructions on where/how to wire?

Thanks to all three of you. I'll connect to the battery. What path did you use to route the wire from the frunk to the left side of the Spyder? (Left side for me to enter my Aerostitch.)

Heated Gear - need advice/video/detailed instructions on where/how to wire?

I've always connected electric clothing directly to the battery. Now with an F3-T I'm wondering if the accessory connection under the seat can be used? Probably not enough power for an old Gerbing Jacket and gloves? OOPS. Better change my signature - Got a 2019 F3-T this past July.

What Brand Engine oil do you use

Really like this thread..... .....and vote for keeping it. I sold my 2014 RT-S SM6 5 years ago, thinking I was done riding forever. Changed my mind and bought a 2019 F3-T this week, 1100 odometer miles. This thread was very helpful. I've used Amsoil for many years and decided to go with the...

    Question about Corbin Seats

Four Corbins and 2 RDLs My butt is much more comfortable with the Russell Day Long and I removed a Corbin with dual heat and gas door to add the RDL. May have the Corbin for sale when I sell my Spyder. -Bill

    Winter riding clothes

Eaby Gloves Murphy, my house needs one more pair of winter riding gloves. I could not find the Head snow gloves on the Costco site, but did find this on EBay. I prefer to get things that others have used. Are these the ones you (and Ann) have used. If not could you provide a link...

    Maggie Valley home safe thread.

I'm back home I'm back home and had a very easy trip home. Hope the Bill I met (and don't remember his last name) was able to get his 2012 RT successfully towed to Asheville for a brake failure. -Bill

    First traffic ticket

Fight it Fight it with courtesy as others recommended. I go through a left hand turn regularly with a short left hand turn arrow and very heavy oncoming traffic; I find myself cursing those who don't follow very closely in the turn. Good luck, I think you will prevail. -Bill

    More tire S@#T

Replace Front Tire ASAP Brian Kay up in Kennesaw is having a laser alignment and belt alignment soon, and I'm trying to convince him to put some type of car tires on the front before the alignment. He recently installed Elka Stage 2 shocks I think and on the first ride didn't see a marked...

Front tires for my 2014 RT Limited

Conti not Directional Thanks, Mike, these Conti tires are not directional, but you caused me to re-think rotating them. I noticed my Spyder started pulling to the left after they were mounted. Who knows whether it might happen if I rotated them? I am very diligent on rotating my tires on my...

Front tires for my 2014 RT Limited

Good Point on Rotatiom That's a great point on rotation, I hadn't thought about that. The ContiPros are not directional and I'll also rotate them. -Bill

Front tires for my 2014 RT Limited

Didn't try Goodyear I didn't try Goodyear, but Firestone told me they didn't have the equipment for that tire (165/60R-15 Continental ContiProContact). So I went down the street to TiresPlus, no problem for $45.00. I ordered the tires from TireRack, and they always have a list of approved...

Rear tire replacement - what is everyone liking now?

Replacing Kumho with General Replacing Kumho with General. I've got the Kumho AST with 5/32 tread remaing at 11,000+ miles, and ordered the General Altimax R43 today from Amazon. I have a laser alignment scheduled on Oct 11, and it made sense to me to replace the rear tire at this time. The...

    Trike class

Outstanding Class Highly recommended and outstanding value in 2009. $95.00 then and I believe the price has gone up quite a bit. I rode to New River Community College in October 2009 on a GL1800 with a Hannigan sidecar. I rode in the right lane and slowed down in right hand turns to keep the...
