• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Front Shock setting

I have seen this discussed on this site before but thought I would ask again. I told the service manager at my dealership that my front shocks on my 2010 RT SE5 were set on 2 and I was going to set them up to 4 or 5. He stated not to do that because when my wife is with me it makes the front end...

    another one bites the dust.....

The government says the unemployment rate is down and the economy is getting better. In the last two months 3 houses on my block have went into foreclosure and the people moved out. If this is getting better, I hate to see what it is like to get worse. I think we are being lied to about...

    Spyder light update

Only problem I can see is that some "punk" would steal them about as fast as you could put them on the truck. :gaah:

    Low Fuel Light

Using the 100 to 120 miles before filling up has worked for me. I don't trust the lights or gage's and by using the mileage I know I am safe.

    Faulty Sensor?

Thanks LaMonster, I will try that if it happens again. BRP did open a file on the problem so they are aware of it.

    Adventures in Puddle Jumping!!

Started raining here about midnight and rained until 0900 this morning. A little over 1 inch here at the house. In a area that averages 4.5 inchs a year that is a lot. The roads are covered with sand and gravel all over the area. This is when I am glad I am riding a Spyder instead of the 2...

    Faulty Sensor?

No. The dealer had told me there was no way I could clear or check the codes in this situation. I am not real mechanical minded so I have to take them at their word.

    Faulty Sensor?

Got the Spyder back and again when they started it to take it into the shop the limp mode and engine icon had quit flashing. This time there were no codes in the computer. They have no idea and neither do BRP what is causing the problem. The service manager suggested if (when) it happens again...

    Faulty Sensor?

Thanks Scotty, I am afraid it may be more serious than I first thought.

    Faulty Sensor?

I have a 2010 RTSE5 with 1500 miles on it. About 6 weeks ago I started it one morning and the red engine icon on the right side of the screen started flashing and "limp mode" started flashing on the screen. The dealer towed it into the shop and hooked it up to their computer and the codes said...

    Let's talk about feline prevention!

I had the same problem with a neighbor's cat getting up under my boats cover and marking his territory on the carpet. I set 6 mouse traps under the cover. Two where he jumped up to get into the boat and rest around the interior of the boat. The next day one of the traps where he jumped up was...

    Road Trip Tools...

With my mechanical abilities the most important tool is my cell phone and the number to my dealer. I would depend on my dealer to let me know who to get hold of to get it repaired. Oh, and my triple AAA card to get towed.

    Extended Warranty

I am still under factory warranty but was wondering? How many of you have the Western extended warranty and have any of you had bad experiences with them getting the Spyder repaired?:dontknow:

    Wheel chocks

:agree:At our age now my wife and I are not jumping on a bike and riding a thousand miles. Some :shemademe_smilie:things are for younger folks. I am picking up a new Haulmark 7x14 next week and am going to do just what Dragon is doing.

    Might Be a Great Day!

Rode all day in a charity poker run from Lake Havasu to Parker AZ. Over 400 bikes and I saw 3 other Spyders. The weather was PERFECT ( in the low 80's when we finished) and raised several thousand dollars for a battered woman's shelter. Riding in western Arizona in the winter is the best. :ohyea:

    DPS...finally

After mine was done I noticed a very slight difference in steering. The :spyder2:worked OK before the DPS was replaced and it has worked fine since. Good luck.

    Limp mode

Talked to the tech today when I picked up the :spyder2:. He said when they hooked it up to BUDS the codes showed the key was on, transmission in nutreal, parking break on and the :spyder2: was doing 158 mph. A call to BRP and they agreed it was a strange situation and code but that it would...

    Limp mode

I keep a battery tender on it all the time when I am not riding the bike. I had rode the bike for a total of about 3 hours the two days before and everything was OK. The battery always shows full charge when I put my multimeter on it. I don't know what else I can do. :dontknow:
