• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Limp mode

Just got a call from the tech at Walt's Motorsports. Apparently a sensor malfunctioned when I turned the key on and through a code saying I was going 158 mph and it shut the Spyder down. A call to BRP confirmed that this has happened in the past and so they are clearing the codes and I am...

    Limp mode

Went out and started the Spyder this morning and the limp mode came on immediately along with the red flashing engine symbol on the right side of the display and the red explanation mark on the left side of the display. I shut it off immediately and tried turning the key off and on three times...

    NUTTY OLD MAN REVISITED

I have it just as good as Caser. It was 81 degrees here today and I have been riding every where the last few days in a long sleeve shirt and vest. I know things will get cooler here but it never gets below 40 degrees so riding in the winter is great. :ohyea:

    Spyders in Hollywood..............

It was a balmy 79 degrees here yesterday and I took a two hour ride. Coming back I cruised down by the channel (runs under London Bridge) and there was a boat in the channel with two woman in bikinis sunbathing on the front of the boat. Life is good.

    Ambient Air Temp Guage replacement

Out here in western Arizona during the summer when it is over *115 most of the time it would be useless. Anything over 110 is to hot to ride. Sometimes I try to ride and if I knew how hot it was I would park the bike all summer.:doorag:

    No ryding in this today!

:doorag: Can you ride a snow blower? I don't know. It is 7:25 here and 61 degrees. Trying to decide if I should go fishing or riding tomorrow.:roflblack:

Anyone else starting to get excited or impatient for the 2011's?

My dealer in Lake Havasu told me today that they expect to start getting the first of the 2011's around the first of the year. However, the Pearl white is not expected until March or April. He has 7 people wanting to put down deposits on a white one but cannot because he does not know how many...

    Nice day for a ride

    We all love America!

I don't think what happened to Cody would ever happen here in western Arizona, but if it did , there would be the same response from the PGR, ALR, and all of rest of the riders out here. We have many groups who would probably have escorted the principal to school, if he wanted it or not, so he...

    New York times review

Being out west I did not know the NYT was still in business. No one I know ever reads it. I admit it took me about a 1/2 hour to go from a 2 wheeler to the Spyder, but could not be happier. A friend of mine and his wife on their Harley last Sunday, hit a patch of sand on a turn and went down...

    You are what you ride

Some of these idiots (young or old) thing that until they leave a pound of skin on the asphalt after laying down their Harley, you are not a biker. Wait until they get to my age (68) and have done that a couple of times and they will be happy to still be riding.:2thumbs:

How many miles did you put on your Spyder this summer?

Out here in Western Arizona we don't put many miles on in the summer. Not much fun riding at 115*. Will get a few miles on this winter.:2thumbs:

    Rear brake squeal

The warranty covered mine and they said I had the 1st generation pads and they put on 3rd generation. Only a few miles since replaced, but everything seems OK.

    Rear brake squeal

Just had my Two Brothers exhaust installed on my 2010 RT and it sounds great. Fairly easy installation. Also have the rear brake squeal and my dealer has tried twice to fix it. They will now replace the rear pads on Wed. and I hope this fixes the problem. Also just had the recall on the DPS...

    DPS Recall

DPS Box :clap:Took my 2010 RTS in yesterday for a squealing rear break problem. Went to pick it up today and they fixed the break problem and also replaced the DPS box and two other service bulletin's that I did not even know about. I received the recall notice from BRP after I picked up the...
