• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Robobrackets by Madstad

Last night I finished installing Mark's Robobrackets with my 23.5 inch Cal-Sci windshield that I had just sitting in the garage. Been using BRP's 25 inch Ultra Touring shield which I will still use, but would prefer for Spring thru Fall. With the Robobrackets I can adjust it to a higher...

    Will it fit?

RShrimp Why not just rent an inexpensive utility trailer? To me, it would be much less of a P.I.T.A. than loading it on the pickup. :dontknow: Or, have someone go with you, then just drive the Spyder home....

Is SpydersNest a legit vendor or was I just scammed for < $500?

SpyersNest deleted from Favorites Thanks to the heads up on Spydersnest.com to all the folks who posted. I have never ordered from them, but I have visited their site a few times and placed thier URL in my Favorites folder for possible future orders. After reading all this, I have DELETED...

Spyder look alike with Busa setup

Busa "Spyder" Ahhhh, I don't know. The front end looks equivalent to someone who removed their dentures. :gaah: However....to each his own. Riders who have the "need for speed" and love the sporty look will probably go nuts over this bike. So far, the Spyder still has the good look for me...

Anybody have RoboBrackets w/ BRP Ultra Touring Screen?

I have the BRP Ultra Touring 25" Windshield, and thinking of buying Madstad's RoboBrackets. Does anyone here have this set-up on their Spyder RS? If so, I'm looking for positive or negative feedback. I really like the 25" Ultra as it really decreases the wind, but I'm riding here in Tennessee...

    Sport Rack Warrenty Issue

To BajaRon I recommend the passenger pegs from Tony Fisher. He sells them on E-Bay. I got the set for $165.00 that included the piece that will lower the stock pipe. Wife is very happy now.

    Survey Question/Riding Habits

I ride about 95% solo. The other 5% breaks down to this: about 3% with a friend who has a Gold Wing, and 2% with my wife. I'd love to have her ride with me all the time but, you see, she's the omni present-eternal-perpetual-extrapolated-built in babysitter for our Grandchildren. My Daughter is a...

who got what goodies for Chriatmas??

Santa was good to me..... 12 Volt heated jacket liner, pant liner, socks, and gloves, with a dual heat troller. Battery Tender Plus, Digital volt meter. Now I'm "toasty" warm when I ride, and I can monitor the voltage with the new volt meter at the same time. I wired the volt meter with an...

Cold day- Spyder didn't like it

I also have an SE-5 and there have been some cold days here in Tennessee, but I have not had any problems so far. By the way, I always let it warm up to at least two bars before taking off.

Watts, Amps, Volts-what can Spyder handle?

Thanks to all who responded Thanks to all the good folks who responded to my question. So it seems that I'll just have to be very careful with RPM's lower than say - 4000, and especially with stop and go traffic. Another question....if I'm at a red light, can I just unplug the power to the...

Watts, Amps, Volts-what can Spyder handle?

I have a 2009 Spyder SE-5, and want to buy some heated clothing for Winter. But, I don't know if the Spyder's electrical system will accomodate the following: 12V heated pant liner (rated: 35 watts, 2.7 amps, at 12.8 volts), 12V heated socks (rated: 9 watts, ? amps, at 12.8 volts), 12V heated...
