• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Two production touring trikes...

The Victory Vision is an outstanding bike. I took a trip on one last month. The trike is probably pretty nice but 35K ??? I've gotta stick with the Spyder.

    Pain in the neck-and back

Same for me. Anything more than an hour and I've got serious pain in the back of my neck. I've got an RS with handle bar extensions. I thought it was the weight of the helmet, but I tried going without this weekend and had the same results. I was thinking that an RT with backrest and foot pegs...

SEAT: Corbin, Russell or Comfort Seat?

My stock RS seat actually feels fine on my boo-tox. My problem is that I think it looks like a cheap plastic seat, and sort of throws off the whole look of the bike. I'll be switching to the comfort seat which I think looks pretty sharp. If it feels better also, I'll consider it a plus.

It all about my constitution also

I don't find adult content offensive, I can even say I appreciate it. But I like it kept in places you have to ask for to find. I think this site being family friendly is refreshing. I read it in the living room with my family around on a regular basis. Thank You for running a responsible site...

Help me get over the jitters

All good advice. Experience is everything when riding, and there is no substitute. Get on that Spyder as often as you possibly can and you'll probably pull through this. After logging a few months you'll at least be able to know where you stand, and can make an informed decision. Don't go into...

    Spyder Patch Coming Soon

Rockytime is right. I have some backround on this. A 3 piece patch is a statement, it doesn't matter that it wasn't your intent to make one. This is serious biz for some folks. No need to overhaul the design, just keep it one piece.

    Steering issue = yikes !

You're going to have to get it to a dealer. The DPS service / replacement requires very specific knowledge, tools, and software that other mechanics aren't going to have, even if they're good. If you have no confidence in the dealer you have been using, you're going to have to find another.

Are we ALL old folks riding Spyders?

Polls are fine, but I find that the age of the average Spyder owner is most accurately determined through the carbon dating process.

    Ride in Las Vegas

There is a ride in Las Vegas on April 18th to honor 4 of my fellow officers from our department who were killed in the line of duty. Spyders will be meeting at 9:00 in the parking lot. We welcome everyone. http://www.redrockharley.com/event_detail.asp?event=437301

switch se5 controls from left to right?

First off, there are a lot of guys on this site that are very talented with mods, and I don't claim to be one of them. But I have an 08 SE5, so I went out and looked over the situation and played with it a bit. I am very confident that this could be done. The cables look like a fairly easy...

    License to ride.

I guarantee when the officer sees the Spyder on the road his first thought is "That is a sweet looking bike". You would really have to be screwing up to turn the thought process to traffic violations. I still get a crowd around it when I ride ot to work. After everyone says how much they like...

    License to ride.

I'm a lieutenant with Las Vegas Metro, 25 years on. Soon I'll be riding my Spyder all day instead of working. But here's the real deal. Please be advised that this is for NEVADA ONLY. SpyderRyder and AKA1004 are correct. The Spyder is powered by one wheel and is NOT a trike in Nevada. It is a...

The Spyder that Roared in Death Valley

I just sat on that RT last week. Very nice ! Hope I didn't leave too many fingerprints. Rec World in North Vegas has dropped their BRP line. Bummer, but the service dept is still open. Let me know if you Vegas spyders are up for a ride. There is one the 9th and 10th of this month to laughlin...
