• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New tire company

Vee Tire New? I replaced the tires front and rear on my 2008 RS last March and so far have almost 10,000 miles on them with good results. The front are showing some even wear, but the rear looks almost new. I don't spare the throttle, but no burn outs. The fronts are wearing due to cornering...

    Blinded by the light.......

Blinded! There are several films for I-Pad/PODs/PC screens that are designed to reduce glare and enhance visibility. These can be trimmed with scissors to fit and are removable if they don't work for you. Possibly these would work for you. :D

Tilting kit for HD...future for Spyders?

To Tilt or not? Actually Piaggio has had a tilting three wheel scooter on the market for several years and they sell like hot cakes in Europe. It tilts when in motion and locks to prevent tilting when stopped. Utilizes twin trailing arm suspension in front with ABS and traction control. We had...

    New Year Ryde

Happy New Year Riders! Well I envy you all, as we don't seem to have another SPYDER riders here in the Florence area. So I had to go ride in the wind yesterday alone except for the faithful 2008GS humming around the hills and Sea Lion Cave area. Hope to join up with you all sometime if you are...

Potential causes for the belt sliding off? 2010 RS-S SE5

Belt Alignment?? There is a flange on the "Inside" circumference of the Rear Pulley and a Flange on the Front pulley that restrain the belt. The Belt alignment should be such that your belt runs at about 1-2mm from the rear pulley flange. If the belt walks off the rear pulley after it is...

    Different Trike

Need some help - on road right now and stranded

Dead After Sudden Stop Check the battery connections, it is possible that you have a loose / corroded terminal and the sudden stop may have jarred the connections so now you have no power! Hopefully you have the Tool Kit on the Trike, good luck. MercerLake

SIITR in the Smoke? Not so much! Thanks for the information and link to CDF. My wife called Blue Lake Casino this afternoon and they say some haze but sea breeze is keeping it clear. Very moist up here along 101, we'll bring some with us, not a lot just some! See you there!

Sounds like it's going to be some summer madness of the best kind with all the smiling waving SPYDER riders. See you all there.:yes:

Who has installed BajaRon sway bar themself?

Selfie Install! I did mine quite easily by following the instructions. I deviate by not raising the SPYDER to the recommended 22", rather I ramped the front wheels up on concrete blocks which only gives about 8" of lift. This is tight but doable. Used a 4x4 block to prop the frunk up after...

    Mounting a second antenna on a RT-S

2nd Antenna! I haven't looked at the specs on that antenna, but if it is a Magnetic mount it needs an area of metal under it to load correctly or else the SWR may be out of sight. A center fed dipole mounted vertically would not need the metal ground plane, also a "J Pole " could be used as...

Early morning air flow vs Afternoon air flow

Wind Effects!!! I had a similar problem on Coastal Highway 101 we have strong NW crosswind that gusts through the gaps in trees and buildings. I was all over the lane, very uncomfortable! So changed to the Baha Ron Anti-Sway bar and now the SPYDER is stable and holds the line. The wind still...

My new 20mm ammo can saddlebags. waterproof and only $28 each

Great Idea! Great idea, but where did you mount the weapon?? Are these the old style metal cans or the newer plastic? There have been times when I have thought to mount some 2.5" Rocket tubes for gaining a little respect in traffic.:D

My first ride, and question about the Baja Ron sway bar

Stopping the Sway! Best money you can spend on your SPYDER. The Heavier / stiffer sway bar reduces the "rolling" in corners and stops the wind gust sway from on-coming vehicles and side gusts of wind. You'll still feel the wind effects on your body, but the SPYDER will stay put in the road...

Anyone drive with there high beams /

More is Better More lighting is better. Anything you can do to make yourself seen is good. You'd be amazed at how many drivers will pull out in front of an Ambulance or Fire Engine with their lights and sirens going full blast, a mere motorcycle isn't seen either!!:yikes:

    Bajaron sway bar

Easy Install I just finished my install, took about 2 hours including constructing a set of ramps! I used one pair of concrete blocks with a single 2"x6" covering each block and a 2"x6"x 60" for a ramp on each block. This gives about 16" of clearance, which was plenty for me. A pair of 13mm...
