• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Back from the dead...Thank You SpyderLovers

Great news, nice to know you are recovering well. And if business is good maybe 2020 is right the time to expand overseas :) We really need a proper Lamont's Garage European distributor, not that easy to get your great products here. Shipping and import taxes kind of kills the deal for us...

Checking oil on F3... How tricky it can be?

So got my second oil change (yearly one) at the dealer not long ago. And I think the maintenance guy kind of likes to overfill it... When I got home just check the oil level and it was above the upper marker. So I gradually pumped out about 3.4oz/100ml more or less each time (ride it a bit and...

Metal Clunk sound when hitting a hole with rear wheel

I believe F3Ts and RTs have an air cushion (self inflatable on the RT and F3T-L) which will stiffened the shock.

Metal Clunk sound when hitting a hole with rear wheel

Mine has an aftermarket shock with adjustable rebound. I guess there isn't much you can do when you are going fast and no time to avoid that big hole/lump on the road :/ Oh, and never happened while riding two up (which is 95% of the time for me), I guess that extra load does help to avoid full...

Metal Clunk sound when hitting a hole with rear wheel

Felt that twice today. Riding solo. Also got the impression that the noise came when the shock was fully extended. Have an aftermarket shock on mine (F3S).

    BRP going electric?

Been driving an electric car for more than 3 years now, and I wouldn't go back. It's not only a question of environmental matter (which is important of course), electric motors make combustion engines look like something of the past. Mainly, EVs convert about 59%–62% of the electrical energy...

Ball Bearings & Metal Ring Found in Engine Oil During 3K Mile SVC - Help!

Also got the very noticeable metallic noise on the left side of my F3S (MY2018) It's been there since new. Worse when cold, with a warm engine it's hardly noticeable so I would suspect it might have to do with the dry sump design. Glad you had that sorted out.

N222, the Best road in the World

Oh and yes... That was a close call with that bus  The road is very narrow at some places and there are quite a few tourist buses around. All caution needed.

N222, the Best road in the World

Thanks Paul. The Douro river has several dams along it's way to the sea, but it's still very navigable throught this locks. The one from the picture is at Peso da Régua, the dull is 90m/295ft in length and 12m/42ft large and moves the water 28m/93ft up and down. Here's a video of it's normal...

N222, the Best road in the World

The N222 road goes along the Douro river in Portugal (Western Europe) across the vineyard fields (where the grapes of the port wine grow) and has been considered by AVIS as one of the best roads in the world (very close to the perfect ratio of 10 seconds straight by 1 turning)... Not sure if...

    Storage and parking brake?

There's been quite a few parking brakes who got stuck. So no off season here, but I leave it in the garage always with wheels blocked and the parking off. Also leave it with the key in the ignition, not sure about this one but I believe that could help to avoid key programming issues.

    REVER route planner

Tyre is their desktop planner, it's still supported although getting maps to show there has not been easy. They have gone to openstreetmap and back to gmaps now, but the licensing now for these are not user friendly (you need to open an account there to get a valid ID). MyRouteApp is the...
