• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Have the Past Albums transferred across to the new platform?

Basically, yes. That's only the albums tho, not necessarily uploaded pics/vids in any of the DIY threads... Just the stuff in the add-on albums. ;) Of course, there is a (slight) chance that some of it may have been copied by other members and might (eventually?!) be uploaded again...

Check engine light - what to check?

@Kandiman, try typing 'check engine light' into the Search field (up toward the Top Right of the page); tick the 'Search Titles Only' box; submit the search; and then spend some time reading some of the numerous threads that have already been posted on this subject. There's even one of those...

2021 RTL stuck in 1st gear - any help or suggestions would be welcome!?

Just help me clarify this a bit in my own mind @PeterKelly... If you are able to shut down the Spyder engine, leave it for a bit, and then successfully re-start the engine (with your foot firmly on the brake pedal), then surely, no matter what the dash says, your gearbox hasta be in Neutral...

Any idea on which way the wires go on the Fog Light Switch?

Any chance you could tell the rest of us so we can maybe pass it on if ever the need arises??

Our next toy? - Check out this Kawasaki concept

Beyond what Gwolf has mentioned, this ^ sorta argument really has little point &/or validity in these discussions... You just do exactly what you need to do to refuel a gas powered bike when it runs out of gas in the middle of nowhere - you need to plan ahead! That means you either have...

2022 F3S with Codes C0031, C00C6, and Limp Mode - what could be wrong?

The Haijiu may well have been at least part of your initial problem, Dexter, but I'm pretty sure that Mikey's question was to determine if you had charged the NEW Motobatt battery before installing it - cos if you didn't, it's also quite likely that the supplier/retailer didn't, and that could...

BRP's Demo Tour Schedule & Information for 2025

Go on, make a road trip of it! 😁 Take a few days, ride/drive to the nearest event of your choice; check out the roads, sights, sites, and scenery along the way; sample the food, meet people, and do the demo ride while you're there! I reckon they'd even probably give you a 'special mention...

Little power in third gear and on top - any ideas?

How much have you ridden your Spyder since the Akrapovic exhaust went on?? It usually takes some miles/about 15 minutes before the computer has 'learnt' the best settings for the changed parameters brought about by the exhaust, but that still shouldn't make all that much of a difference! You...

Dealer says Car tires damage fenders - does this make sense???

Even if they have (seemingly... ) been 'very good' to you, for my part, I'd still be quite concerned, cos either they are knowingly outright lying to you in order to push BRP's directive, or they are truly ignorant - and neither bodes well for how they are REALLY treating you &/or...

Dealer says Car tires damage fenders - does this make sense???

Yeah, I guess...😖 Buuut... That bit ^ just highlights to me that either the dealer &/or techs are just too scared to do anything but toe the (riduculous, and here in Oz, completely illegal! :cautious:) company line of 'Thou shalt not fit anything but OEM parts/tires etc'... OR they have...

Belt Squeaking and Rattling on start-up only - should I be concerned??

I gotta ask, which belt are you talking about?? There's really only one belt on your Spyder, but are you thinking the rattly engine noise on start up is coming from a belt, that's a whole 'nuther thing!?! So is it the rattly/squeaky sorta 'tin can half full of gravel being kicked down...

Dealer says Car tires damage fenders - does this make sense???

😖 Those Arachnid's are one of the early Kenda Clones - and just like the Kendas, no matter what anyone or any 'made up' label on the sidewall says, they ARE NOT 'Motorcycle' tires - they are lightly constructed CAR tires! ;) 'Real' Motorcycle tires have a completely different design &...

    Check your backrest bolts

If you reverse them so that the thread end is on the outside of the top-box instead of sticking in & potentially damaging your helmet/anything you put in the box, then surely the thread end of those bolts will either stick into and damage the push-on backrest, or they'll stick out too far to let...

What Front Tire Pressure in an F3?

At this stage, I reckon you need to lower that rear tire pressure (Spyders, regardless of how heavy the load on the bike is, extremely rarely want/need any more than 18 psi in a General Altimax ;)) will make a vast difference to your ride comfort & traction (and your tire life too! ☺️) and...

Using 4 FOBO TPMS senders to monitor the tires + ACS too!

Just to make sure everyone knows... There is absofreakinlutely NO NEED to change your valve stems to run FOBO TPMS. The OEM stems will do fine. (y)

Red Check Engine light on the dash and Orange Check engine light flashing. Any ideas/fixes?

The Check Engine Light normally goes away once the problem is resolved. Have you ridden the Spyder at all since you replaced the O2 Sensor?? If it's fixed the problem, it might take a mile or two for the warning to reset/the light to catch up; but it shouldn't really take 10... So if...

NAPA Oil test results Shell Rotella T6 15W-40

That's not a sign of being 'aggressive' - in fact, if anything, it's more an indication of being fairly gentle!! It's actually pretty good milage for an OEM tire! Many still running the OEM tires don't get even that much tire life, wearing a 2" wide strip in the centre down to the tread wear...

    Random thought for the day

That ^ looks like the salties (crocs) lined up on banks of the Fitzroy River, in Queensland, Oz - the intended site of the 2032 Brisbane Olympics Rowing venue. They expect lotsa World Rowing Records to be broken at the Brisbane Olympics... 😁

What Front Tire Pressure in an F3?

@Mojammn, it's basically the air pressure inside the tires that carries the load on them, and the OEM Kenda tires are lightly (& often poorly) constructed tires that NEED those high air pressures you mention in order to carry the load that you & your Spyder put on them. But if you are now...
