• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    OK, I have to Ask...

I'm sure there are plenty of guys below 4.5. I'm also sure that there are guys out there with modified cars that are faster for less than 100k. I'm going to steal SethO's line from the thread I cited: fast is relative. There are guys that paid less for their two wheelers that are quite a bit...

    OK, I have to Ask...

I posted this in another thread, because there are plenty of fairly small sports cars that will do 0-60 in less than 4.5. :lecturef_smilie: Here's what I posted before: "Your source must have omitted the corvette. I know the Z06 is at least that quick, and the base model is not too far behind...

    Ride Wright Wheels

Good find! I wish I could find something similar in the US, but I'm sure it won't be too much of a pain to import them. Thanks for the link. :2thumbs:

    Helmet questions...

Helmet preference is one of those subjects, like oil or octane, where you'll find many riders with vast differences of opinion. The most important aspect of the helmet buying process is finding one that fits. I bought my last one online, but I tried on several in stores so I knew how the...

    special thanks to whackydan

Most replacement parts do not come with any instructions at all. Additionally, I think most manufacturers prefer that parts are installed by qualified mechanics. From that standpoint, I'm sure they'd take the position that if you need details to do a fairly simple job, you may want to rethink...

    A Chicken/Egg Question

If you don't have a physical limitation that precludes you from riding a motorcycle, I recommend going to take the MSF course. Many states allow this to take the place of the riding test. You'll also have the flexibility of a regular motorcycle endorsement, rather than the three wheel specific...

    Picked up my Spyder yesterday

I'm not sure which route you went to get your license, but if you haven't had the MSF course, it is definitely worth-while. Regardless of whether you're on two or three wheels the safety lessons are great to know. Also, some insurance companies will give you a discount.

    Friend having a weird problem

Some of the early models had issues with the gear position sensor. I don't know that it would cause the symptoms you've stated, but it may warrant some exploration.

Change OE front tire to 195/50-14

I went to a 205/40 17 and it seems to handle better. I haven't had a chance to test the limits, but with the additional 3-4 inches of width it should keep the nanny happy a little longer.

    Car Show Today

The Kansas City Aviation Department hosts a car show and cruise night every year that I've participated in the last couple of years. I only shot pictures from before the show really started, because I was pretty busy talking to people once things started. I've always received a fair amount of...

    What Have I done???

Read the posts about others' problems for situational awerness, but don't let it ruin your fun. I have an 08 and have had nothing but good times. No steering, no nothing: everything has ran great. Don't cry about problems you're not even having. Just have a good time.

    Ride Wright Wheels

I think that ebay seller is Immortal Kustomz. They also get their wheels from Ride Wright, so I'm not sure what the mark-up is. The fenders don't look too bad, but I may have the guy that painted my Spyder give me a bid on some fenders. He builds all kinds of hot rods and custom cars. He...
