• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    trailering Can-Am Spyser RT

Also a fulltimer. Wanted to take car along also so ended up at RaceCityRVProducts.com in North Carolina. Check their website. I got the HDXL as that what was needed for the width of the front end. You can see my rig in their picture section, the yellow RS with a white Hoda FIT on the dolly. Has...

Why the Rush to Add MODS on a Brand New Spyder?

Interesting discussion - having come from 2 different "biker" groups. The Harley folks do "chrome," the BMW folks do "farkels" and the Spyder folks do "mods." Someone could do an interesting (maybe) socialogical study of these groups. As for me, the best so far were the heat stuff from...

    Firstgear Mesh-Tex Jacket Sale!

Ron, How close to the Spyder yellow is the Day-Glo yellow? Seriously...... I have a red Mesh-Tex that I had with my red BMW and now riding a Spyder, I'm afraid I'm making a very bad fashion statement. Also, can you supply the Mesh Tex pants in "short"? Thanks.

Went looking for a luggage rack and came home with a new Spyder

I'm strong!! I've been in 2 dealerships in the past 2 months just for looking around - each had a red RT. When I moved away from the exhibit, one of the employees had to come over and wipe away the drool. I'm so tempted but my RS is just less than a year old and I just can't pull the trigger...

    Whatcom County Riders

back in the area Last July I posted that I had just got my Spyder. Spent the rest of the summer in Anacortes but never did get together with anyone local. Will be back in Anacortes Sunday for the summer and hope to meet and ride with others. My favorite rides are down to Coupeville for mussels...

    Key without a chip

Somewhere on the forum I came across the number for the blank - an ILCO X270, actually a X270 TMC1. It was also noted that this blank was for the Triumph motorcycles. Found a local locksmith in Ashland, OR who had 2 blanks labeled for Triumph bikes. He cut them both for me ($5 apiece) and then...

    Spyderfest next year?

Anyone find a decent RV park near Cuba? Will the Fest be there again next year? Couldn't make it this year but definitely on my schedule for next year.

    change your color??

No, not buying new panels from BRP. Just taking off all the yellow pieces, giving them to my friendly painter and having him do them in Viper Red, not whatever the 2009 red was called.

    change your color??

Has anyone changed the color of your Spyder, the non-black panels? I do like my yellow but really would like it in Viper Red. Anyone done something like this? Thanks.

    Texas Spyder Ryders Logo

As a Winter Texan, I just returned to Oregon after a few months in the Hill Country, I would definitely have to have one of these shirts. Put me on whatever list someone may be starting.

    Taking Spyder along

fulltime RVer Arntufun - pretty much the same answer as Yooper. The RV is my home so I'm not really camping. My kids say that I'm most happy when I'm parked somewhere within 50 miles of a Costco. Right now I'm in the Texas Hill Country at a "high-line" RV resort that runs close to...

    VSS fault come and gone??

Started up this morning, temps in the high 30s. Fired right up but the VSS fault was on. So I shut it down and waited a few minutes, started again and all was well. 150 mile ride to Leakey, TX and back with no problems. I figured at the time I would just reboot the thing and that's what worked...

    Clanking in motor?

Dealer got it from another dealer in April - still new in box. He had all the aluminum color pieces powder coated black. I got it in July. My motorhome has traveled 3000 miles since then. ;) Not much travel this year. 2010 was a 13000 mile year.

    Clanking in motor?

Duhhh..............lesson learned - 1600 miles and took 1/2 qt oil to bring it up to about 3/4 of the full mark. Hope that's not overfilling - warmed it up first.:sour:

    Clanking in motor?

Due to weather here in the Hill Country, haven 't been on the Spyder lately. Did finish installing the Utopia back rest today and since the sun is shining and the temps are in the high 60s, I decided to take a little run around the RV park to get the backrest fitting properly. Started up to loud...

    Fender fix

Brakelight/taillight?? Looks like a great idea. But before I go any further, I need clarification of the following: The rear licence light/reflector, another known source of grief, was replaced with the well-known Walmart brakelight/tailight ( $11), wired in using positaps. This also means that...
