• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryding in a Winter Wonder Land

Not quite so bad over here on our side of the state...after warnings and forecasts of another 6-10", ended up with about 5, then it warmed up just enough to clean off the streets, and start getting sloppy! Supposed to be 40's most of the week, so shouldn't last long. No hot tub, but made a 3...

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

It's blue - we feel younger every time we ryde - our plate reads 'TMTRVL' - it's the Tardis! (For those unfortunates not conversant with the Doctor's Time Machine, that's her!) Dr. WHO? Yup!!:clap::roflblack:

    SPECIAL DAY FOR KCPETE

Thanks, Pat! Thinking about not celebrating birthdays anymore, but celebrating anniversaries of my 40th birthday...which would put me back in my teens!! :yikes: Hmmm, maybe that's not such a hot idea, either. Not very often I wake up on my birthday to a winter storm, and 4 or 5...

Tell your story. What was the moment you knew you had to have a Spyder?

I had been bugging Janet to go to one of the dealers just to look at Spyders since I saw an ad, and one or two in passing on the highway. After several months of this, she agreed to 'look' at the dealer on an upcoming Saturday morning in Oct 2011. We were to go following a hair trim for her that...

84 degrees, time for a ride!

Pat - it WAS a great day for a ryde! Today, not so much.. Janet & I ran over to a winery in Excelsior Springs for " FirePit Friday"...wine, a small meat/cheese basket, pretty sunset, and a fire going on the patio. Nice evening. Today - changing oil on RT, cleaning it up, all that...

    Towing Spyder with full cover

If memory serves, there's two full covers - one for inside storage and the tow - rated one. I've got the heavy one (around $250) and love it for towing. Just need to put a bungee around windshield to help keep cover from flapping/scoring the lexan. Did you get the inside storage cover, perhaps...

OUR SPYDER WAS DESTROYED THIS WEEK

As much as we all love them, and how they bring us all together, Spyders are still just 'stuff', along with houses, cars, and all our other possessions....and they can all be replaced. It's YOU and YOURS that can't. Thank the Good Lord that all you lost was 'stuff'....and you still have all...

Will Bob D. hit the 20,000 post mark before Spyderfest.

I'm just concerned for Bob's well-being on the ryde to Spyderfest...I mean, just think about it. While he's physically ryding, :trike:he can't be posting...if he's not posting, those posts have to go somewhere, right?...And if the posts reach critical mass while he's not at a...

Great Day! Had a great day visiting with everyone Saturday, and thrilled that Dave & Teddy showed up before we left!:yes: Even though it takes a little while to get suited up in the heated gear the way we did, it was well worth it for the greetings we got at the door of Pit Bull...

Who's going to "PIT BULL POWERSPORTS" .... Grand Opening ?????

Count us in! We'll be coming down Saturday morning, and headed back later that day. Mode of transportation is still being decided, though the current reports sound about like they did a couple weeks ago when we ran down with the Spyder to say Hi! We're all set with heated gear now...

    Winter Storm Q...

I learned how to drive in Nebraska, in the winter time, so I could get my license in March when I turned 16. Dad was a very patient teacher, but wouldn't stand for spinning the tires...I still can't understand most of the folks on the roads who think putting it to the floor will help with...

    Winter Storm Q...

Nothing on the ground at the house this morning at 5:30AM....or at 6...just a few flurries at 6:30 in the north part of Kansas City, MO. By noon, close to 8 inches on the ground, at 1PM it started tapering off, and we have a measured 10" at the house now. Supposed to get another wave...

I've got nothing against Nebraska but...

Nebraska Ann, I did a fair amount of my teen years and later living in Nebraska, and still have family there. It really is a beautiful state - you just have to do some traveling to see a lot of the hidden spots. The Sandhills, the Niobrara River, the Sandhills Cranes on the Platte River...the...
