There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hang in there guys! It'll melt!

I'm in Indy this morning and heading back home (central IL) this afternoon, ought to be a fun drive.

I'd be happy with a foot or so of the dry fluffy stuff...Hate the wet heavy stuff...PITA to push.

Nothing on the ground at the house this morning at 5:30AM....or at 6...just a few flurries at 6:30 in the north part of Kansas City, MO.
By noon, close to 8 inches on the ground, at 1PM it started tapering off, and we have a measured 10" at the house now.
Supposed to get another wave later on with an additional 1-3", by the last report I heard.

So it goes.

I am glad that I am no longer in the Midwest. I used to dread the winter driving conditions when the winter storms would go through. I was on the road a lot, and needed to travel rain, snow, or whatever. Very scarry driving sometimes.

Glad we are missing this one so far.

I learned how to drive in Nebraska, in the winter time, so I could get my license in March when I turned 16. Dad was a very patient teacher, but wouldn't stand for spinning the tires...I still can't understand most of the folks on the roads who think putting it to the floor will help with driving in snow. Saw one today where the back end of a nice black Challenger got away from him, and after bouncing off a guardrail, he ended up in the median in about 2ft of white stuff. Wasn't hurt, but he was cussing the car out pretty good! This was on N 169 just a few miles north of downtown. Just glad to see he didn't catch anyone else, the way he had that thing sliding. Reminded me of the midget racers taking turns on a dirt flat track!

Ah, the mysterious Q.

Calling for sleet/freezing rain here tomorrow morning changing to rain. Was 57 and beautiful here today. Watching national news on CBS, will have a segment on "thunder snow" in the midwest.

Made it all the way to my house only to be stopped by my steep driveway full of snow. Had to wait for my wife to get home with the Honda Pilot so I could get the car up the driveway.

I thought you were going to say that you had to wait for your wife to come home and shovel the driveway so you could get the car up it. :roflblack:

The thunder snow was fairly loud and a little startling but the 4" of snow it dropped in an hour was something else. I couldn't see across the street. I got the driveway shoveled yesterday and then again the last 4" this morning and with the sun shining the concrete is dry. This is Kansas if you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes. Don't think I will get to ryde this weekend, the side streets are snow packed.

That thunder snow is interesting isn't it? I have only seen and heard that happen twice in my lifetime. 1960's in Duluth MN, and about five years ago here in AK.
