• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Run-A-Round on the SE-5 porblems.

Good luck and happy riding. I am sure that there are a number of the SEs that have no problems. From the numbers mentioned concerning the parts shipmen and from questions on this and other groups there is a good number of failures. I am just frustrated to not be able to ride a machine I put...

    Up date on SE-5 problems.

Just got a call from the service department. The gear position sensor that was backordered and due in LAST week is again on back order. The message is that it is an identical quantity to the original shipment so speculation is that that shipment may have been faulty. My SE-5 has been down...

Yes. The litle sensor that tells the computer what gear the trasmission is in at any given time. Apparently a widespread failure, another in the shop here and the parts were back ordered so it has already been three weeks without my ride.

Thank you guys for bringing this thread back Thanks for the replys! Any body know "Spyder" any language than English or Lakota? In my early life in the AZ desert -I probably heard it in Apache, Pima, Mexican, maybe Cherokee but don't remember any of them. Maybe someone from "the old country"...

Open letter to BRP. (As sent to Spyder Team)

Cool or COOL? Glad you are enjoying the Spyder trouble free. Last four out of five pieces of transportation have been red. The other, a silver Saturn could never be found in a parking lot after shopping!. I really had no other choice! Guess your idea of "fairly cool" and mine are a bit...

Open letter to BRP. (As sent to Spyder Team)

I will gather as much info as I can and pass it on. As I had mentioned they had one other case and on that one the shop manager told me that they could get nothing out of the computer. Something to the effect that it was not transmitting any codes. I was not mad at the dealer but when he...

Sorry to start a fight, only trying anything to get BRP's interest. Thank you all for your input and support! Now if we can just get BRP to pay attention and get the service information, and just as important, required repair parts to their dealers in a timely manner. I feel that BRP...

Open letter to BRP. (As sent to Spyder Team)

I am back from the shop and not too happy. I had tried two other posts to the Spyder Team, the official "voice" of BRP speaking of the problem and asking for information that might aid the techs in repairing the problem. It is the DUTY of customer service reps to care about their...

Some good questions--- It started at about 400 miles and I have one or more insicents of every ride since. Don't really know how many SEs are actually getting trouble but seems a good number. I put it in to be checked for the problem and to get the 600 service. As mentioned BRP is pretty...

Iktome Luta (Red Spyder), my SE-5, is in the shop at Pensacola Motor Sports for the 600 mile service and now awaiting a permanent fix to the gear selection problem. Early tomorrow I will enter the hospital for a procedure called a fistula-gram to return full blood flow to my dialysis access...

    SE-5 shift lock-up.

    SE-5 shift lock-up.

Maybe it is like Catfishin' You just have to hold your mouth right!:2thumbs: What I am unhappy about is the fact that BRP seems not to believe there is a problem. That, and the fact that the Spyder Team does not answer e-mail.
