• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Issue with 2012 RSS...during shift from 1st to 2nd. Problem solvers unite!

I don't think it's the clutch wearing out already. The first 900 miles of my spyders life were as a demo bike, I'm sure it's had a much harder life than most clutches out there. I'm at almost 13k miles now and the only time I've experienced what your describing is when it's below freezing or the...

Issue with 2012 RSS...during shift from 1st to 2nd. Problem solvers unite!

Check the oil for sure, make sure it is fully warmed up before checking, follow the proper procedure. Also, some bikes seem to be pickier than others about letting them warm up in the garage for five minutes or so before setting out.

Can am online store....shipping costs, ouch! Other US options?

Robs performance has a TON of stuff on ebay, lots of last years stuff at great prices, current stuff I think is msrp. shipping is pretty cheap, and they would probably combine shipping for you if you asked.

Air intakes and air/fuel gauge discussion!

Theres really no blanket statement to cover that. there are too many variables. The only way to ensure you arent running too lean is an air fuel gauge. You can always pull the plugs periodically, but you still cant guarantee there arent spots in the powerband that are starving for fuel. That...

Two brothers exhaust + Can Am saddle bags = does it fit??

The oem muffler uses a gasket, not sure how many times you could get away with reusing it, mine got kinda jacked up when I pulled the original muffler off. Other than that, switching them back and forth isn't a big deal.

Factory sidebags for RSS...not too common! Couple questions

Those are the can am racks, the givi racks mount the turn signal differently, so they are the quick release racks. Totally legit setup!

Factory sidebags for RSS...not too common! Couple questions

If they are in fact the can am branded racks they are super easy to remove. Quarter turn on three screws each side and the racks come off. Super simple. If they are givi branded racks then not so much. Leaving the racks on isn't that bid of a deal, they kind of blend in to the bike. The only way...

Aftermarket cruise control options for 2012 RSS?

I think everything that has cruise from the factory is throttle by wire, and everything that doesn't come with cruise is good old fashioned throttle cable controlled, making "dealer installed, as an option" not a possibility. I'm sure i'll be corrected if that's not right.

Some thoughts on Farkles! 2012 RSS

Its not really 8.5", its actually about 7.5" taller than stock. I loved the look, but its always dark when I ride to work and I couldn't stand the tint, no matter how much I wanted to like it. I don't remember, but I think it put a bunch of wind and turbulence right at face level. Not 100% sure...

Some thoughts on Farkles! 2012 RSS

All depends what kind of ride you are looking for. Are the fox shocks the comfiest, most adjustable/tunable shocks in existence? Nah. Do they get the job done? Ya. Ride the thing for a couple hundred miles first, heck even a whole season, then see if you think you need better shocks. Elkas are...

Some thoughts on Farkles! 2012 RSS

Some of our more "senior" members have a tough time seeing the turn signal indicators on the dash, Tricled has a strip of leds that you mount above or below the mirrors to "increase your turn signal visibility"(read:oh crap I left my turn signal on) Im just playing Bob! ;)

Aftermarket cruise control options for 2012 RSS?

I really like the cruise-mate throttle lock. Easy install, super cheap compared to "real" cruise control, and gives your throttle hand a break whenever you need. The friction deal is spring loaded too, so if you get confused or goofed up or whatever you can still rotate the throttle back, no...

Memorial Day ride spoiled by codes!

Intake tube between the throttle body and the head? Vacuum leaks can/will cause a host of driveability issues. I say if it's running good, leave her be, and put it on the list.
