• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Went for 2 short rides today. One to buy Flowers for the Misses, and the 2nd was my normal short (keep the battery charged and liquids circulating) ride. It was 46° F, windy & pcldy. I'm getting to where I can ride a bit in cool wx.

Internet Searches on Spyderlovers not working - is this because of the Platform change?

Why is it that whenever I do a search on the interwebs for Spyders and click on a topic that's shown on the internet search it says this: Any ideas?

What did you do to your Spyder today?

It's real nasty outside so I played shop rat and installed the Eyelets in the lower A-arms so I'll have a good place to hook straps on while trailering. The only roadblock I encountered was the shock bolt head. They're real shallow and I had a bit of a time trying to tighten down while also...

Has anybody tried the Baldwin Iron Works Complete exhaust system?

Update - I talked to Paul at Baldwin Iron Works about this system. He does not have a sound clip of this exhaust system. He did say it's Loud. Louder than if you have his delete pipe and running the stock secondary muffler. So there it is. I'd still like to hear it though.

Has anybody tried the Baldwin Iron Works Complete exhaust system?

I see Baldwin Iron Works has a compete exhaust system with the delete pipe section, then a large chamber like RLS, but not as large, and finally a secondary muffler. It looks like it's a one piece system in either black or chrome. Looks interesting. I'd like to hear an Exhaust sound clip.

Re-installed the primary muffler (cat) - the noise @ I/state speeds was not for me!

Hahahaha, no matter what you do to the Spyder it won't blow the socks off a Sportbike, but it's fun to try. I like the sound that the delete pipe gives me, but I try to keep the noise level down in neighborhoods.

Did oil change & checked level properly; NO oil showing on dip stick - any ideas?

Well I reckon we can eliminate that idea. 🫤

    I am now Spyderless

Dang it Man! Sorry to hear, but I totally understand your situation. As Clint Eastwood would say "a man's got to know his limitations"! Hopefully you can find a hobby or maybe another thrill machine with 4 wheels and a comfy cockpit.

What can I do to get a straight shot at the Rear Tire valve Stem?

Here's some info from this forum that might help. Look up Ramp for rear wheel to make adding air easier

Re-installed the primary muffler (cat) - the noise @ I/state speeds was not for me!

Still rocking the delete pipe. The sound can be intoxicating. The feel of the engine and how it revs quicker is worth it. I did it purely for sound I must admit. I didn't need to loose 16 lbs on a machine that already weighs 900 pounds, and heat was never an issue with the F3S. The F3S has a...

Did oil change & checked level properly; NO oil showing on dip stick - any ideas?

Just throwing this idea out here because everything else has been covered. Could you possibly have the 1 in a million SHORT Dipstick? Measure it and I'll compare mine to yours.

Is this much Oil usage normal?

"I likely remove more oil than it uses when I check the oil level and wipe it off the dipstick." Lol! You're completely right. I go as far as not wiping the dipstick off on the the 2nd check. Every little bit helps. 😎

Is this much Oil usage normal?

As said before I believe the best way to do it, at least for me is after a ride I pull into the garage put it in neutral and let it idle while I take my gloves off, glases, helmet, jacket, and leather pants. Then I'll clean my helmets face shield, put a couple of dryer sheets inside helmet and...

Is this much Oil usage normal?

Even with a new engine (mine) with only 10,300 miles & two oil changes, I haven't noticed any oil consumption.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I rode up Hwy 421 today. Might be the last ride for a few days due to weather. Got home and rested up. My knees, even though replaced with the VA's best, get sore and cranky after 3 hours of the twisties. I'm wondering now why I even bought saddlebags, lol. Once home, I decided to take the front...

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

Hahahaha classic. Ever heard of a 1/4 twist throttle assembly? That's what I've had on all my motorcycles and that came stock. The PB is my 1/4 throttle. That's all. I understand it. I have no desire to twist the throttle all the way around just to get moving fast. The PB makes this process very...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today after a ride, I noticed my right front LED turn marker/signal was loose in the fender. Pulled the wheel to see what holds it in, and found the mounting screws 2 turns loose or more. Then I checked all of the fender to inner shield screws and all of them were the same. Very loose. Got to be...

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

Here's the deal with no charts or computers to tell me what I'm not feeling. When I turn my PB Off while riding through town it feels like I threw an anchor out. It feels very sluggish compared to when the PB is on.

Any suggestions on running Gravel and dirt roads on a Spyder?

Good to know. I had my F3S on a wet (snow melt dirt/ gravel rd) and a bit steep, and I was in 1st gear. Made it up and down with a bit of effort. It's basically a 4x4 rd in the winter. I'll never do that again. It took me FOREVER to clean it up afterwards. I'm a road rider pretty much. I...
